Shortly after he hustled back on defense, forcing a turnover to save two points. Then immediately was fed and scored for an And 1 with attitude! A third quarter baby hook by the lefty showed some better touch, and he stayed locked in around the rim. Settled for a lot of jumpers, but did end the opening frame by going around an attempted double, and draining a 15ish foot runner. In the second frame, he did a better job of capitalizing on the attention he drew by getting his teammates involved. Which also led to him getting better looks for himself while attacking the basket. Late in the third he got a deep three to fall, which gave him 20 at the time. More importantly that deep three put Deer Creek-Lamont up 15, effectively serving as a back breaker. Multiple times he got loose in transition and threw it down with authority. He got Duke off to a hot start and early lead, but they would find themselves down by double digits in the second half. Along with the all action hustle play of Nathan Gable, and timely shooting of Aiden Tamplen, Womack would lead the comeback. Chipping away in the fourth and eventually pulling away to advance to the semifinals. Womack had a game high 22 points, including 10-13 shooting from the lane.
