About Laurenco

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My coaches say I'm a smart, team-oriented guard who empowers teammates with exceptional court vision and precise passing. I study college and European basketball to integrate advanced strategies into my high school games. Offensively versatile, I’m a threat from the 3-point line and can drive to the basket, but my true passion lies in creating remarkable assists.I firmly believe defense wins games

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a relentless work ethic, training 8-10 hours daily. Off the court, I focus on stretching, balance, studying games, and strict nutrition—eliminating sweets and fast food. As an ENTJ-A (Commander), I demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and proactively develop myself and my team. My mentality centers on continuous improvement both on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I played for KK Split in Croatia before joining Montverde Academy in the fall of 2024, where I competed in multiple tournaments and national championship playoffs. In 2023/24, I also played for the amateur adult team KK Amfora, gaining valuable experience playing against larger, more aggressive opponents, which sharpened my skills and resilience.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve always felt like I was swimming against the current. I was Croatia’s #1 3pt shooter, with one of the highest success rates, but my coach said I’d be a great prospect - if I were 6'5". Height is the one thing I can’t change, but I’ve changed everything else. I train harder than anyone, revamped my diet, and study the game obsessively.I’ve earned everything.My work ethic has shaped me for life.
