Serving as the key glue guy for McCaffrey all weekend at the Finale in the Valley was Tesfa, who did a little bit of everything for the title-winning squad. The rising senior is one of the best players we’ve seen who plays much bigger than his listed 6-foot height on both ends of the floor. Offensively he’s capable of scoring over bigger defenders inside and is a best on the offensive glass and defensively he consistently held his own guarding the opposing team’s biggest player. Tesfa also did an outstanding job helping facilitate for others and posted a double-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 in the finals win over Pressure Elite.

The La Salle junior wasn’t the least bit afraid of getting down into the paint to battle for rebounds and loose balls and was a pest on the defensive end. While rebounding and defense were his calling card on the day, he was also able to knock down some perimeter jumpers to keep the defense honest. (JT)
