The Finale in the Valley from Flight Club Tournaments took place this past weekend and we had the opportunity to drop by Clackamas High School to watch a number of games from the Varsity, 17U/16U, and 15U divisions. Pressure Elite captured the Varsity title, McCaffrey won 16U, and City Red took home the trophy in 15U. Here's a look at the top performers from the rising senior class of 2027.

If we had to pick the top rising senior we saw all weekend, Cantwell would be our choice. The Nelson wing was simply lights out from the perimeter in every game we watched that he played in, whether it was with Pressure Elite in the Varsity division or with McCaffrey in 17U/16U. If defenders gave him any kind of space on open jumpers, it was basically a layup and Cantwell buried shots even as defenders rushed out to contest. While he averaged probably 5 threes in every game we watched, Cantwell didn't just bomb away as he had a number of solid drives and finishes at the hoop. With the scoring also came some nice feeds to teammates for scores and he was big on the boards too. 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in the 17U/16U semis and then another 26 points (6 threes) in the finals win over Pressure Elite. He's unquestionably one of the most underrated and underrecruited seniors in the state.

On the floor, Hudson played as expected - tons of motor, energy, and aggressive on both ends as he finished strong drives to the hoop through contact, knocked down open jumpers, found open teammates for scores, and was an absolute dog on defense. But what impressed us arguably the most was his floor leadership, both by example and vocally. Sitting near his team's bench, we constantly heard him encouraging and motivating teammates, making sure his squad knew what was going on the floor and what they were going to do next. There was no question his voice helped propel Pressure Elite to a big win over [program_tooltip program_id='2609033' first='Starts' last='With U'] and eventually to the Varsity Division title.

We just saw one game of Jackson during the Finale in the Valley, but it was a good one - for several reasons. For one, it gave us confirmation that the guard will not only be with Centennial for his senior season but also an indication of how he will fit in with them - which clearly looked good. Jackson was aggressive in pushing the ball up the floor and did well playing with either the ball in his hands or without it. He shot the ball extremely well from deep and utilized his athleticism driving to the hoop, finishing one fast break with an impressive two-handed slam.

The first thing we noticed about Renner is he's added some size and muscle to his frame. So while the rising senior earned the majority of his points from the perimeter as always, the added strength helped him to complete a number of forays to the hoop. The guard tallied 19 points and 5 rebounds in a 17U/16U win in the semis and was solid throughout the entire weekend helping out on the boards and leading McCaffrey to the division title.

Serving as the key glue guy for McCaffrey all weekend at the Finale in the Valley was Tesfa, who did a little bit of everything for the title-winning squad. The rising senior is one of the best players we've seen who plays much bigger than his listed 6-foot height on both ends of the floor. Offensively he's capable of scoring over bigger defenders inside and is a best on the offensive glass and defensively he consistently held his own guarding the opposing team's biggest player. Tesfa also did an outstanding job helping facilitate for others and posted a double-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 in the finals win over Pressure Elite.

The epitome of hustle and desire all weekend might have been London. The La Salle rising senior showed a relentless motor, always showing a propensity to be around the basketball and making plays. His intensity helped lead to a number of second chance points whether it was off the offensive board or grabbing loose balls and he was a constant pest on the defensive end, taking on all comers whether they were on the perimeter or down in the paint. He posted 11 points and 10 rebounds in the 17U/16U finals versus Pressure Elite.
