There wasn’t a prospect that saw their stock rise more this spring than Imahri Wooten Imahri Wooten 6'6" | SF Putnam Science Academy | 2026 State New E (+9), who rose all the way into the Top 10 and has the chance to be a nationally ranked prospect this fall. The Putnam Science Academy/City Rocks guard has heard from a number of high major programs in the last few weeks and will be a hot commodity this summer for college coaches.
While he is our most notable stock riser in this rankings release, he is far from the only one. In fact, 6 prospects rose at least 10 spots in our most recent rankings release, with 6 more rising at least 5 spots.
Below, we’ll take a look at five notable stock risers and the improvements to their games that allowed them to shine this spring.
Rise: +11
The BABC product is an explosive, power wing that makes an impact on both ends of the floor. He thrives in transition where he can utilize his athleticism and budding floor vision to make plays for himself and others. He’s capable of putting the ball on the floor, can finish through contact at the rim, and has shown an improved perimeter jumper in recent months. He’s a highly versatile defender with the strength to guard in the paint and the lateral mobility to guard on the perimeter. He’s a Division I prospect that has interest from high academics and high majors alike.
Rise: +13
The Expressions Elite product is a big guard and pure scorer. He has great positional size, impressive length, and above average athleticism. One of the top scorers in this class, he can get it done at all three levels and has really taken a leap with his consistency from behind the arc. He’s a tough shot maker that does a good job of getting to his spots and elevating into his jumper. He can defend all three spots on the perimeter and should be able to initiate offense in transition at the next level. With recent offers from Providence and Xavier, he’ll be on the radar of high majors all summer long.

Rise: +12
A true lead guard, Echevarria has had a terrific spring with Above the Rim Elite. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, particularly in ball screen actions and in transition. He’s a crafty finisher, does a good job of keeping his dribble alive, and knows how to control the pace of a game. A capable scorer, he’s another high level perimeter shooter that can really fill it up from behind the arc. Defensively, he has quick hands and feet, which allows him to be a pesty on-ball defender. He’ll be an interesting prospect to track over the next 12 months and should garner scholarship attention along the way.

Rise: +19
A high academic prospect with Rivals Elite, Ocasio is a combo guard that has “in the gym” range on his jumper. He’s ultra competitive, plays with a chip on his shoulder, and leaves it all on the floor every game. He’s shown breakdown ability off the bounce this spring and has some impressive wiggle with the ball in his hands, allowing him to create space and passing lanes. He knows how to read a defense, makes good reads in ball screen actions, and does a good job of picking his spots as a scorer. Defensively, his toughness and compete level shine through and he’s the type of guy who will willingly give up his body to win a game. High academics already have him on their radar and I’d expect he’ll be a highly sought after recruit this winter.
Rise: +6
The Northwest Catholic product is a high level rebounder, versatile defender, and efficient low post scorer. He makes a big impact right now on the defensive end where he cleans up the glass and shows a solid understanding of how to defend in the post without fouling, Offensively, he has good hands, knows how to move off the ball, and is a capable finisher around the rim. He also attacks the offensive glass and has shown an ability to pass out of double teams in the paint. If he continues to progress at the rate he has over the last year, he should be an impressive college prospect down the road.
