He’s kept the ball rolling so far this spring, leading Indy Heat with team bests of nearly 19PPG and 4APG on the EYBL circuit and thus, was invited to Nike’s Elite 100 camp. Having picked up several Power 4 offers so far already, he comes in as the #43 2028 prospect in the nation per ESPN’s latest rankings.

Considered one of the top prospects in the state of Kentucky, Mitchell’s playmaking and all-around offensive skill were on full display with Indy Heat 16u in Kansas City. He averaged 20.0 points and 4.5 assists per game which included a massive 29-point, 9-assists performance in a win on Saturday. Mitchell hit the game-winner in that matchup as well. There is a lot to like about his offensive skill set.

Jordan was one of the leading scorers in all of Nike E16 and is making his push towards the top spot in the 2028 rankings. A crafty player who excels at getting into the paint, Mitchell plays with a swagger to his game and carries himself like a poised veteran.

A smooth scoring point guard, Mitchell is one of the top Sophomores in Kentucky. Jordan is highly skilled and plays really hard. With the talent around him on the Indy Heat roster, Mitchell should be able to show off his playmaking skills and rack up assists this weekend.

Jordan stays at number two in this update and is knocking on the door of the top spot. Mitchell was hindered with injury at Male this season but the Bulldogs were the top team in the state prior to injuries to Jordan and fellow Sophomore Trey Hillerich Trey Hillerich 6'10" | C/PF Louisville Male | 2028 State KY . Looking ahead, Mitchell has the shot making ability to play off the ball, if needed. He’s a good creator and scorer.

Despite the early exit, Mitchell easily had the best individual offensive performance in the 7th Region tournament. Male’s quarterfinal battle versus Ballard might go down in the history books as one of the best of all time between the two rivals and Mitchell showcased his full range of abilities throughout the contest. Playing at an elite pace and scoring on all three levels, he finished with 41 PTS and 5 ASTS, seeming virtually unstoppable at times. An absolute monster final performance of the season for the 7th Region’s leading scorer and one of the top sophomores in the nation.

He can score from deep in a variety of ways, catch-and-shoot or pull-up, whether in the halfcourt offense or in transition. Mitchell does a great job of getting his feet set quickly and makes it difficult for defenders to affect his release. He can knock down contested threes, create space when needed, and consistently hit tough shots even when the look isn’t perfect.

In his first game back after missing the last 4 weeks due to injury, Mitchell reminded everyone why he’s one of the top prospects in the state. He showed great flashes, including lightning quick downhill handles and rising up off two feet for a one-handed slam late in the 2nd quarter. He filled up the stat sheet and finished with a game-high 19 points in addition to 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Mitchell’s return is a promising sign for Male heading into the post season.

Mitchell is one of the best players in Kentucky regardless of class. He has a knack for scoring that has wreaked havoc on the top competition across the state this year. That, paired with his mature IQ and evolving athleticism makes him an invaluable piece for Male’s success. Having missed the Bulldog’s last 6 games due to injury, however, the question remains of when Mitchell will make his return.
