Knutson proved to be a matchup nightmare. While he was prolific with his back to the basket, it was his perimeter versatility that turned heads. Standing tall with impressive length, he functioned as a high-post threat. He saw over the defense to find cutters and skip-pass targets. Most impressive was his motor; despite his size, he consistently outran his matchups in transition. Knutson showed a polished understanding of when to facilitate and when to take over the scoring load.

Sam made his impact felt with a physical presence around the rim, consistently carving out space and finishing through contact. He showed strong footwork on the block, keeping defenders off balance with patient moves and good body control. Defensively, he anchored the paint and altered shots simply by being in the right position. His ability to control the interior on both ends made him a reliable presence throughout.
