Typically known as a knockdown three-point shooter, Jankowski showed off his skills off of the dribble on Saturday at Super Hoops. The 6’0” guard made some excellent passes playing off of ballscreens and drove it against closeouts to a floater a couple of times. He attracts a lot of attention on the perimeter due to his shooting ability so having that ability to score in the paint or makes plays for others will really help round out his offensive game.

Jankowski had a very good sophomore season at Valparaiso averaging 10.8 points per game while shooting 39-101 (38.6%) from three-point range. The 6’0″ sharpshooter has taken his game to the 3SSB Circuit this spring with Breakaway Basketball out of Illinois and continued to have success as a shooter while playing at a very high level of competition. He is a currently under-the-radar guard to watch in the rising junior class.

Saturday at 3SSB Session II in Mishawaka offered our first live, extended look at this sophomore guard from Valparaiso High School. Breakaway Basketball 16u ran into a buzzsaw against an excellent Garner Road 16u team, but Jankowski was able to find ways to score. Known as a three-point shooting threat, the 6’0″ had success attacking closeouts and scoring over size with a variety of floaters and intermediate range finishes. He is clearly a highly skilled offensive player.

One of Indiana’s top Class of 2028 prospects that hasn’t gotten statewide attention yet, Jankowski is playing at a very high level this spring with Breakaway 3SSB 16u out of Illinois. Getting the chance to play on one of the best circuits in the country will be big for his development. The 6’0″ guard poured in six three-point shots on Sunday and scored 21 points in a win for Breakaway over Ohio Buckets EYCL 16u. Jankowski can really shoot it and is one to follow closely out of Valparaiso High School in the current sophomore class.

Breakaway plays a fun style of basketball with lots of quick passing and shooters spaced across the court. Jankowski caught fire in the second half against the Ohio Buckets and shot his team to a comfortable victory. An elite shooter with his feet set, the Ohio Buckets went zone for a couple possessions and Jankowski knocked down back-to-back corner 3-pointers to get them right out of the zone defense. Later in the game Jankowski was ran off the line and showed the ability to curl off screens and hit floaters or make the simple pass to a teammate. Based on his production and skill level, I’d expect Jankowski to be added to the Indiana rankings sooner rather than later.
