Sebastian Akins Sebastian Akins 6’2″ | PG 1 of 1 Academy | 2024 State NC has hit the ground running since debuting in the 2024 rankings after this HS season with 1 of 1 Academy. He’s emerged as a combo guard that can play either guard spot given his ability to defend, find his own offense and get others involved while showcasing his talent with a talented bunch of wings/guards that allow him to make things happen. He’s a prospect that MM/LM programs in the region need to get eyes on.
Jullien Cole Jullien Cole 6’4″ | SF Shiloh | 2024 State GA is another prospect that’s seen his stock rise rather quickly since making his debut in the Top 100 following the HS season at Richmond County Senior High. He’s picked up right where he left off with Team Wall on the grassroots scene, showing he can operate off the bounce and off the catch as a shooter and slasher that plays tough in the paint. As he fills out his frame more, look for his recruitment to grow in the HoopState.
Desmond Kent Jr Desmond Kent Jr 6’5″ | SF Central Cabarrus | 2024 State NC continues to climb up the radar in the HoopState on the one of the top independent programs in the state with BSA Supreme. He’s an intriguing wing prospect that flies around on both ends operating inside and out and making things happen on both ends of the floor. He’s shown he can lead the way alongside the Daniel twins in Chase and Carson for quite a while now. MMs/LMs in the region should pull the trigger.
Jamari Briggs Jamari Briggs 6’6″ | CG Christ | 2024 State NC will be a new face at Christ School to keep an eye on as he runs with Upward Stars SE 3SSB on the wing. He’s a strong-framed wing that uses his length in a variety of ways to make things happen as a scorer and playmaker. When he’s not looking for the ball, he’ll find his touches around the painted area as a rebounder. He’s another name for MM/LM programs in the region to get eyes on.
Highlights
Tyler Barnes continues to climb up the radar as the unsung leader on the Team Trezz Edwards wing/defensive front. He’s back fully healthy and showing no signs of slowing down with his ability to apply on-ball pressure and finish at the rim with authority. He’ll be one to watch during the June Live period at Greenfield School.
Lost in the shuffle, so to speak, Richard Goods Richard Goods 6’9″ | PF Grimsley | 2024 State NC makes the moves from No. 141 to the 57th spot in the latest rankings update after finding his footing on the grassroots scene on the EYBL stage with Boo Williams. He’s an athletic forward that’s shown he can finish with authority around the rim and use his length/frame to alter shots in the paint on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on as the June Live Period gives players time to spend with their high school teams. He’s at Piedmont Classical in the Triad area.

Isaiah Otyaluk Isaiah Otyaluk 6’7″ | SF Word Of God | 2024 State NC is a name that continues to climb up the radar as he shows his consistency in the No Guts No Glory rotation. He’s a wiry wing/forward prospect that’s shown he can attack the painted area and create his own shot off the bounce. As he improves his handling and frame in the weight room, look for some LM schools in the region to pull the trigger.
