He is scoring guard with unlimited range, and the ability to blow by the defense and score. He isn't afraid to get after it on defense either. I once saw him get a bucket in a Showcase tournament and immediately turn around and pick up full court That speaks to the way he plays hard all the time. He is smooth and can score off the dribble, and is able to create his own shot. A tough, hard nosed player with a smooth and easy scoring knack on all levels. He got over 20 points per game this season and that number is sure to rise as he gets into his senior year with confidence and experience. One of the best guards in 2A. Look for him to dominate on both ends of the floor next season, making him a prospect on the rise. rnrn","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1444804"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Arion is a competitor. He's not the biggest kid on the floor by any means but his competitive fire and strong skill set make up for it. He dropped 20 points per game this season, perhaps surprising some with his skills on the offensive end. He is a good shooter and has no problem getting his own. He is quick and crafty, and keeps coming at the defense with that quick trigger and great ability to set himself up to get shots in the mid-range or taking it all the way to the basket. A good shooter who will size up the defense and go by if needed. He handles it well, pressure isn't likely to bother him although he can bother on defense. The type of player who strives to get better and he did. Look for him to break out even no next season to rise up on the board. rn","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1685496"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Jerome was a freshman this year on a state tournament Lummi Nation team. He is a little undersized but that didn't seem to matter. He dropped 32 points in the opening round of the tournament. His team lost a close one but he singlehandedly kept them in the game. He is a great ball handling point guard who can score from all levels. He uses his quickness well to get by the defense, and sets it up with change of speed and nifty moves, all the while playing under control at his own speed. He also dropped seven threes with a quick release and ability to set it up with the dribble. He played with an uncanny poise for a freshman. He didn't allow the defense to choose his pace, he did what he wanted and he did it under control. He never panicked and at times dissected the defense with some creative and skilled moves. You usually talk about footwork in the post but his was excellent from the point guard position. He has the ability to create his own shots. He was 5'7, and able to free himself with the footwork and a whole bag of tricks. Extremely skilled for a freshman at the 1B level. rnrn","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1451023"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Quincy is one of the best prospects in Class 2B. You could make an argument that they are up there with the best teams at any level in the area. He and running mate, [player_tooltip player_id='1451022' first='Tristan' last='Frimodt'] were only sophomores. They were CO-MVP of their league and I can understand why. You never know which one might go off on any given night, most of the time both did. Quincy is long and athletic for a guard and can create by getting to the basket in a hurry or use his deep range to knock down threes. He can take over games and score in bunches. He is excellent in the open floor and has the size to score well in the paint. He has good speed and footwork, to go along with his highly skilled offensive game. He will be a tough match-up for any team in 2B next year. ","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1696634"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"The sophomore guard had a big season for Selah this year. He averaged 15 points per game and was 2nd in the CWAC conference with 62 threes made. He is a good athlete who can throw down dunks with ease. He uses the change of pace well to get into the lane and score, and sees the floor well. He will improve his shooting each year and he's already a good one, making over 100 threes in his freshman and sophomore season combined. He shoots it well off the dribble and has that mid-range pull up jumper but might be better at getting to the cup as an all level scorer. Cousin [player_tooltip player_id='1270611' first='Levi' last='Pepper'] will be playing at CWU next season, and that opens the door for Jackson to take over as the main scoring option. That will likely end up with a huge jump in his junior year. He is skilled, combined with being a good athlete. Prospect on the rise. rn","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["1450996"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"This kid is impressive with his ability to get buckets. An all level scorer with good size at the guard position. His mid-range game is good and he shoots the three at a high level. Great at creating his own and is a true scorer who gets to the basket and turns it into buckets most of the time. He has good change of pace and sets up that mid game well, the end result is a good looking jumper with a shooters touch. He also can get buckets in the paint, he is strong and crafty. He is another primed for a big season next year. He is excellent at shooting off the dribble, and that extends well beyond the three point line. 20 points per game and 6 rebounds as a sophomore. He is a prospect on the rise! These are all players who had a lot of success this season. They are also players that I believe will be capable of taking over games next season as dominant guards on the rise. Here are six players I'd bet on to make a big jump in the 2024 season.
