There were some enticing performances on both sides of every contest, so let’s take a look at who impressed the most on the state’s biggest high school stage:
Jalen Atkins Jalen Atkins 6'2" | SG Barlow | 2025 State OR (2025 Barlow)
Atkins has consistently been one of the most well-rounded scorers in the state since he first took the floor for the Bruins last winter, and Thursday was no different. The sophomore scored 37 points on just 18 shots, knocking down 15 of his 16 free throw attempts en route to a statement win over Lake Oswego.
Winters Grady Winters Grady 6'7" | SF Prolific Prep | 2025 #118 Nation CA-N (2025 Lake Oswego)
While Atkins fueled the Bruins offensive attack as one of the state’s top sophomores, Grady did exactly the same for his Lakers. The 6-foot-7 wing buried jumpers all over the floor on his way to an impressive 37-point, 11-rebound double-double on Thursday morning.
Douglas Bailey Douglas Bailey 6'3" | SF Tigard | 2023 State OR (2023 Tigard)
On Thursday, Bailey made it quite clear that he’s one of the top shooters in the entire field at LSI. The senior wing is flat-out deadly in spot-up situations. On Thursday, the Tigers hit nine total threes, six of which were netted by the 6-foot-4 Bailey. The senior finished with 22 points to go alongside three steals in a win over Cleveland.
Jackson Owens Jackson Owens 6'3" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State OR (2024 Cleveland)
While the Warriors struggled shooting as a team, Owens was a consistent force, knocking down a variety of inside finishes, floaters, and jumpers. The junior plays with a lot of grit, and was able to will himself to an impressive 23 points and four rebounds on Thursday.
Isaiah Crane Isaiah Crane 6'1" | CG Jesuit | 2023 State OR (2023 Jesuit)
Crane was one of the most dominant players all day on Thursday, erupting during the third quarter on his way to a game-high 33 points. Throughout the game, Crane was almost unstoppable going to the rim, using a quick first step to go 12-for-16 from the field on the game. Thanks to the senior point guard, the Crusaders squeaked past Roosevelt.
Beya Kim Beya Kim 6'3" | SF Roosevelt | 2023 State OR (2023 Roosevelt)
Kim was a key component of Roosevelt’s comeback effort on Thursday, using his athleticism to fly around for 17 points, 12 rebounds, and three steals as the Rough Riders fell just short. The senior forward displayed an impressive motor, making plays for a full 32 minutes of playing time.
Utrillo Morris Utrillo Morris 5'8" | PG Roosevelt | 2024 State OR (2024 Roosevelt)
Despite getting into foul trouble early, Morris displayed why he’s getting looks at the division one level on Thursday. At 5-foot-9, the junior point guard is lightning quick off the bounce, making him an effective finisher and drive-and-dish specialist. He finished with 22 points.
Chance White Chance White 6'0" | CG Roosevelt | 2024 State OR (2024 Roosevelt)
White buried three three-pointers on his way to 22 points on Thursday. The junior shooting guard was aggressive with the ball in his hands and was able to get a few tough looks to fall, continuing to solidify himself as one of the most gifted scorers, particularly for a junior, in the state.
Malachi Seely-Roberts Malachi Seely-Roberts 6'8" | SF Lincoln | 2023 State OR (2023 Lincoln)
Seely-Roberts was the Cardinals’ engine on Thursday, filling the stat sheet up with 31 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. As the Cardinal’s fell to Beaverton in a tight one, the senior combo guard quite simply kept his team in the game, knocking down five threes and constantly handling the ball amid the Beavers’ pressure.
Brady Rice Brady Rice 6'2" | SG Beaverton | 2023 State OR (2023 Beaverton)
While the Beavers were efficient all night, Rice was certainly no exception, splashing three three-pointers on his way to a team-high 21 points. Beaverton is balanced enough to have a different starter eclipse 20 points each night, and Rice was that starter tonight, using a smooth handle and eight foul shots to lead the way.
Josiah Lake Josiah Lake 6'1" | PG Tualatin | 2023 State OR (2023 Tualatin)
Entering the tournament, Lake was one of our picks to have a breakout week, and through three games, we’ve been correct. The senior combo guard dropped 35 points on Thursday in a win over Central Catholic, burying a staggering seven three-pointers along the way.
Isaac Carr Isaac Carr 6'3" | CG Central Catholic | 2025 State #75 Nation OR (2025 Central Catholic)
Carr continued a very productive week with 27 points against Tualatin on Thursday. The stud sophomore quietly matched Lake’s seven three-pointers as the Rams struggled to find offense elsewhere at times. A lethal weapon from the perimeter, Carr also used his 6-foot-3 frame to snatch six boards.
Adrian Mosley Adrian Mosley 6'2" | SF West Linn | 2023 State #269 Nation OR (2023 Grant)
Mosley was huge in West Linn’s upset win over Sierra Canyon on Thursday night, posting a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds in front a packed house. The senior guard shifted defenders on multiple occasions and made multiple spectacular finishes as the Lions pulled off a historic victory. Additionally, Mosley was a tank inside defensively, holding his own against a gargantuan Sierra Canyon roster.
Jackson Shelstad Jackson Shelstad 6'0" | PG West Linn | 2023 State #55 Nation OR (2023 West Linn)
Thursday’s nightcap was the Shelstad show, as the senior point guard led his Lions to a shocking win behind 38 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. On perhaps the most well-lit stage of his career, Shelstad delivered, and then some, navigating a roster littered with division one talent on his way to an iconic performance. As the Lions pulled away from the Blazers in the second half, Shelstad was at the center of everything, knocking down free throws, breaking away for transition layups, and etching his name into the LSI storybook along the way.
