2028 Juniors Ready to Make An Impact

<p class="text-gray-700">Benjamin Koch is a six-foot-one-inch 2028 guard from East Ridge and played with Minnesota Fury Wilde as their lead ball handler and point guard. With East Ridge senior Cedric Tomes graduating and going to the Minnesota Gophers East Ridge will have a huge hole at the lead guard spot that Koch will have an opportunity to fill that spot in. Koch is an excellent perimeter shooter with deep range and shows ability to operate the point guard spot getting teammates opportunities with good vision and stellar passing.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Taaj Whitlock is a six-foot-three-inch 2028 guard from DeLaSalle and plays with Gain Elite P32 team. Whitlock has patiently awaited his opportunity at DeLaSalle and found himself as a solid contributor in the 2025-26 season and now in 2026-27 Whitlock will have a greater chance to step in for The Islanders. Whitlock possesses deep shooting ability and very good accuracy spotted up anywhere on the perimeter. Davis had a few games during the 2025-26 season that showed he could handle more responsibility offensively with a larger role. The Eagles guard is super athletic who has had a number of impressive punches at the rim in transition and this summer Davis is showing a bit more explosion off two-feet. Addai has shown ability this spring and summer as a finisher in transition with his long length and improvement as a ball handler is making him a good mismatch on the perimeter. Vargas made huge strides in the 2028 rankings moving from outside 90 into the top 35 displaying a very good ability to shoot the ball from deep on command with little time after the catch. Vargas's size enables him to help as a defender in the post and his court IQ makes him a dangerous passer. Banwart spent all of 2025-26 on JV for the Crimson and with some freed up spots from graduating seniors Banwart looks ready to step in on Varsity and make an impact. Banwart exhibits ability as a perimeter scorer, shooting from deep and driving to the basket. Kamp made a healthy jump in the 2028 rankings moving to 42 overall after a strong spring and summer showcasing as a primary scoring option. This spring and summer Alowonle showed off an ability to finish in transition in fantastic fashion above the rim running like a track athlete and jumping like a long jumper.
