I already mentioned Idris as a standout in week one, but he was so good this past weekend that I have to bring him up again. At 6’2 as a freshman he already looked the part of a dominant rebounder at the 15u level, and now at around 6’5 heading into his junior season he continues to be a big threat on the glass. Offensively if he catches anywhere near the block he’s not wasting any time looking to power his way up. Love how aggressive he plays on both ends of the floor. Idris also knocked down three threes to help lead PC to an impressive win over Richfield.

Idris is part of a strong group of up-and-coming talents at Park Center ready to make some noise this season. He had the play of the day as he came flying towards the rim in transition for a one handed dunk right over the top of a defender. Now listed at about 6’5 he has an imposing wing-span that helps him finish above the rim with ease. Idris is a high level rebounder at his size, swallowing up just about any missed shot that comes his way. He helped lead Park Center to a pair of wins, throwing down a number of highlight reel dunks in the process.

Idris Alowonle is a six-foot-four-inch 2028 wing from Park Center and plays with Gain Elite P32 team. This spring and summer Alowonle showed off an ability to finish in transition in fantastic fashion above the rim running like a track athlete and jumping like a long jumper. Alowonle showcasing better handle with the ball and good length gives him some good advantages on the perimeter.

I’m not sure I saw a better rebounder at the 15u level over the weekend than Idris. At 6’2 he rebounds the ball like he’s 6’6+. Idris has an incredibly long wingspan at his size, and is quick off the floor for tip ins on the offensive end. All weekend long he seemed to be keeping possessions alive with his efforts on the offensive glass, and defensively was able to alter shots with his length around the rim. Just a hard working forward who’s going to sprint the floor in transition, pull in every missed shot in his area, and finish off his looks at the rim at a high percentage. Helped lead Gain Elite to a big win over Minnesota Bulldogs on Sunday.
