Ballers League Friday Night Observations

Woitel-Anschutz is a strong rim finisher and when presented the chance he'll probably dunk it. During the AAU year Woitel-Anschutz impressed with shot creation ability off the dribble which he did a couple times in the Pink v Blue Ballers League game. The long range jumper looks solid and more repetitions could mean meaningful improvement and gain confidence. Christian in the Ballers League showed a bit more pull-up ability with more opportunity in this environment versus playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] which seemed to put him off the ball as purely a spot-up shooter. Christian has good ability off the ball spotted up, he does hold ball handling ability.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2837024' first='Henry' last='Hathaway'] is a six-foot-three-inch 2027 Minneapolis Washburn guard. Hathaway could have an opportunity at Washburn this winter with them graduating 10 seniors. Friday night Hathaway showed he could shoot the ball from the perimeter making a 3-point that put Blue up late over 4 The Love and he made one against Pink. One sequence Hathaway blocked two shots in succession, one at the rim and then he closed out and blocked a corner 3-point attempt.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='3493242' first='Cahjae' last='Jones'] is a six-foot-seven-inch 2028 wing from Minneapolis North. Jones has grown at least three inches since last year giving him added length with his height. Jones has potential as a perimeter scorer shooting the 3-point shot, running to the rim, and could be an impact defender with his length, lateral dexterity and size. Jones showed he can finish a bit at the rim, lay-ups and above.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Amar Dezmond-Gray is a six-foot-eight-inch 2028 wing from Simley. Dezmond-Gray offers potential as a driving wing from the perimeter and in transition with his length, size and mobile agility. Dezmond-Gray's long reach makes him difficult to defend and he showed some touch around the rim. Smith looks to be maturing, getting stronger, and his shooting range is staying intact. Spotted up along the perimeter Smith has pinpoint accuracy on many of his shots and he is a skilled ball handler.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='3675060' first='Quran' last='Blackmon'] is a five-foot-seven-inch 2031 guard that played with 4 The Love. Blackmon has good quickness with the ball and when going downhill he's tough to defend. Against older and bigger players Blackmon held his own and exhibited enough court IQ and physical attributes to compete. He's definitely a 2031 guard to watch in Minnesota.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2560503' first='Lavell' last='Cade'] is a five-foot-eight-inch 2028 guard from Wayzata. Cade is a smooth operator with the ball, has good range on his shot, and is solid below the rim finisher. Cade attacked effortlessly at times with the ball in his hands and made multiple 3-pointers Friday night.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2955912' first='Trameill' last='White'] is a six-foot-five-inch 2029 wing from Blake. White is coming off an impact freshman year at Blake and a player who shot up the 2029 rankings list with his impressive play. White offers position versatility, able to play on the wing and inside both offensively and defensively. His long reach and mature body enable him to compete with much older players all over the court. White might dazzle with an array of ball handling tricks and moves but he'll contribute all over a box score and really impact the game from tip to final buzzer.</p>
