P32 League (Live Period) - Ramsey's Thursday Standouts

Another live evaluation period is upon us! Prep Hoops Indiana is beginning the long weekend in Chesterfield, Missouri, just outside of St. Louis, at the P32 League. There are about 20 Indiana-based teams across the 15u, 16u, and 17u age groups so it made sense to get eyes on this event. Most of our time on Thursday was spent at the Beal Center, but we also made quick stops at Center St. Louis and Westminster Christian Academy. Here are some of the top performers from the games that we watched on Thursday.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    LVL Up 17u pulled an impressive overtime comeback victory on Thursday afternoon. It was Baskerville II that kept them in the game early on in order to be in position to make the comeback. The explosive guard was aggressive as a driver consistently getting to the rim and finishing against opposing size. He was also incredibly disruptive defensively collecting several steals that led to transition buckets. Baskerville II is a true point guard with high-level athleticism that college coaches should be watching closely this weekend and next.     Whether he was scoring in transition, making plays for his teammates, or locking up on the ball as a perimeter defender Craig was heavily involved in [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] (P32)'s win on Thursday evening. The 6'2" guard showed off his abilities both as a scorer and as a facilitator. We've always been high on his defensive abilities, but he looked good with the ball in his hands in this matchup. It will be interesting to see where Craig's recruitment goes coming out of these live evaluation periods.     One of the most impressive new names to us on Thursday was this 6'4" wing out of Hamilton County High School in Illinois. Flannigan was playing with Hoop Club 15u, made up primarily of Evansville area kids, and he was the clear standout in a blowout victory on Thursday afternoon. He showcased some perimeter skill as a catch-and-shoot threat and right-hand driver, but was most impressive showing off his athleticism in transition. Flannigan had several dunks in the game culminating in a 360 throw down at the end.     Ranked as a Top 30 prospect in the Class of 2027 in Ohio, Keyes was a major impact piece for [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] South 17u on Thursday morning. The super versatile 6'7" forward knocked in three three-point shots while scoring a team-high 16 points. Not only does Keyes look the part physically, but he moves really well for his size and possesses some obvious skill level. Definitely a rising senior prospect to watch out of Canton McKinley High School in northeast Ohio.     [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy'] (P32) 17u was in control for much of the game, but ended up needing a wild overtime period to pull out the victory. Laney was the star throughout showcasing his high-level athleticism from the wing. When he drives it he drives it with the idea of dunking on any defender in his way and he did just that a couple of times on Thursday evening. He is also a very good cutter and provides some matchup problems due to his positional size, strength, and athleticism. Laney, a rising senior from Center Grove, has been a major stock-riser this summer.     LVL Up 15u held on for an impressive 61-59 win late on Thursday night. Lee, a 6'2" rising sophomore wing from Homestead High School, led the way in the scoring column with 14 points. His ability to put his head down and drive it to the rim against ball pressure, along with what he got done in transition, was a big part of the win. He has good positional size on the perimeter and is very strong as a finisher at the end of his drives. Look for him to factor into the rotation for one of the top Class 4A teams in the state as a sophomore.     LVL Up 16u nearly put up 100 points on Thursday evening and Selking, per usual, was a big part of that scoring outburst. The 6'0" guard has proven himself as one of the top perimeter shot-makers in the rising junior class in Indiana. He does a great job of shooting it in both off of the bounce and from the catch. In this one Selking also was able to get some things done while attacking the basket, but his jump shooting ability is always what shines the most.     Thomas keeps getting better and better. The Lawrence North High School graduate is heading to TAD Prep in Las Vegas and will be a part of the 2027 class now. He is a 6'5" skilled wing that can stretch the floor as a shooter or use his size to give smaller defenders issues inside. There were flashes of his athleticism as well at the end of a couple of his drives. Thomas' all-around offensive game really popped on Thursday evening in a win for DI Indiana (P32) 17u.
