NXTPRO Session 11 (Live) – Ramsey’s Saturday Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After spending a day and a half in St. Louis, Missouri covering the P32 League live period event we went wheels up to Richmond, Virginia to spend the weekend at NXTPRO Session 11. It was a quick turnaround from the travel, but we still had a great 12-hour day at the beautiful Henrico Sports &amp; Events Center on Saturday. It was quickly apparent why he is considered a Top 10 prospect nationally and one of the top point guards in the Class of 2027. He was good in game one, but then really took it to an elite level in game two finishing with 28 points for [program_tooltip program_id='2078786' first='Cooz' last='Elite']. Alston plays with elite pace and is constantly putting pressure on the defense by accumulating paint touches. The 6'8" forward has some high-level physical tools, but is also extremely comfortable with the ball in his hands. He handled it consistently out on the perimeter and worked to create his own shot at all three levels. Cooper-Kelley has a lot of ball skill on the offensive end of the floor. He looked comfortable playing both on and off of the ball showcasing his ability to shoot it in from the perimeter, score off of the bounce, or create open looks for his teammates. This 6'4" guard out of Texas lit it up in both games on Saturday for [program_tooltip program_id='2078786' first='Cooz' last='Elite'] 17u. His morning performance saw him connecting on several three-point shots on the way to 20 points. The 6'8" forward was excellent in both of [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 17u's games. He dominated on the rim-run, finished on the roll, and utilized his impressive mobility and agility to finish consistently at the rim. Vise moves so well and is comfortable finishing with both hands. He has tree trunks for legs and a very strong upper body that he uses to punish smaller defenders off of the bounce. Then, he starts shooting from the perimeter and you see how smooth he looks. The [player_tooltip player_id='2557630' first='6'0' last='']" rising sophomore guard from Westfield High School is really smooth with the ball in his hands and does a great job of creating separation off of the bounce to get into his jump shot. He also has a sneaky pop of athleticism as he elevates. The super athletic 6'4" wing lived above the rim in a Grand Park win on Saturday afternoon finishing a bunch of dunks in transition and relentlessly attacking the basket in the half court. He finished with a game-high 19 points to go along with 3 rebounds and 4 assists. We believe Division I offers should start coming soon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
