The 2028 class in Kentucky is one of the deeper ones that we have seen since Prep Hoops Kentucky launched over a decade ago. There's size and athleticism at every position. There are big time shooters. There are nationally ranked players and nearly 20 players with D1 offers already. In this latest update, there has been a LOT of movement as some kids have started to make their move towards the top while others are starting to fall behind. Here's a breakdown of the top Power Forwards in this update. This does not include any players who were already featured in our top ten articles.

Primarily a catch and shoot stretch 4, Strite earned his first offer this summer when EKU offered the big man. Jackson is a high level shooter who has a high ceiling as a prospect if he can increase his overall athleticism. A mismatch on the offensive end of the court, Strite has shown flashes of being a solid rim protector and rebounder on the defensive end of the floor. The next year will be massive for Jackson's development.

One of the most athletic players in this class, Micah has a lot of long term potential as a two way forward. Primarily a lob threat on the offensive end right now, Freeman has developed his game quite a bit in the last calendar year and should continue trending in the right direction. After transferring to Trinity this spring, Micah should get a crash course in tenacious defense. He could be a top 15 or better prospect by this time next year.

A big body who has some stretch to his offensive game, Abernathy has the tools to make a big impact this season for North Hardin. A legit 6'7", Kaylen has the ability to score around the bucket or step out and shoot. Abernathy has to get a little more verticality in his game to make the next step. If Kaylen can improve his athleticism, he has the skills to see his recruiting momentum take off. Lindsey Wilson was the first school to offer him this summer.

Gavin is a late bloomer whose stock is trending up big time heading into his Junior season. A legit big who joins [player_tooltip player_id='2520123' first='Boogie' last='Cook'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2492699' first='Myles' last='Howard'] to make a big time Junior class at CAL, Sheich gives them an anchor in the middle. Gavin is long and bouncy enough that he offers good rim protection and can score around the bucket. If you're looking for a prospect whose stock could take off in the next year, Scheich would be a good player to take a look at.

Pegues is a long and athletic forward whose future is very bright. Probably a better defender than offensive player right now, A'Darius can protect the rim at a high level and is a good rebounder when his motor is running. Pegues is a sleeper in Louisville's loaded Junior class. With his length and skill set, AD can be a scholarship level player in college if he continues to develop.
