A big body who has some stretch to his offensive game, Abernathy has the tools to make a big impact this season for North Hardin. A legit 6’7″, Kaylen has the ability to score around the bucket or step out and shoot. Abernathy has to get a little more verticality in his game to make the next step. If Kaylen can improve his athleticism, he has the skills to see his recruiting momentum take off. Lindsey Wilson was the first school to offer him this summer.

Abernathy is a big body who shows a lot of potential as a stretch big. Kaylen hit 4 threes in a Friday night win and earned an offer from Lindsey Wilson after the game. North Hardin will need to replace the production lost by Keriawn Berry’s graduation and Abernathy could be a double-double player as a Junior.
