He uses his quickness well when moving without the basketball, creating separation and getting himself into advantageous positions. In the half-court, he was effective operating out of ball screens and displayed strong chemistry with his post players, routinely making the right reads and delivering timely passes. Innocent also showed a mature feel for the game with his ability to change tempos, understanding when to slow the game down and when to push the pace. Penix provided a major spark with his offensive production throughout the weekend. He is the type of scorer who can change the complexion of a game in a hurry, especially when he gets into a rhythm from beyond the three-point line. Once he finds his groove, he becomes extremely difficult to contain and has the ability to pile up points in the blink of an eye. Beyond his perimeter shooting, Penix stayed active by positioning himself well to rebound the basketball and create additional possessions for his team. He also made several trips to the foul line, showcasing his aggressiveness as a scorer. With his ability to generate offense quickly and efficiently, Penix is a player that low and mid-major programs should be prioritizing on the recruiting trail.
