AAU Roster Preview: Minnesota Heat GVR

<p>[program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] GVR will play in 6 Prep Hoop Circuit events, four in Minnesota starting with Battle at the Lakes May 8-10th. May 15-17 they will play in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for Stomping Grounds, and May 22-24th they'll be in the Upper Midwest Finals in Minneapolis. The next weekend Heat GVR will play in the NHR State Tournament May 29-31st and in July on the 10-12th they'll be in the 2K26 in Minneapolis. Cook did not see the Varsity floor often for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075965' first='Trojans' last=''] on a deep team loaded with D1, and D2 committed talent. As a sophomore at Sauk Rapids Cook scored 16 points per game while shooting 35.4% from beyond the arc. Cook has the ability off the dribble to score on the perimeter as a driver or shooter and can score points in bunches. Myszkowski averaged 15.4 points per game while shooting a high 43% from beyond the arc. When I saw Myszkowski as a sophomore it was very apparent why he was getting prime minutes on the Spartan team with his poise and leadership qualities. Aitkin is Mounds View's primary scorer operating mostly off the ball scoring 16.4 points per game. Happel scored 13 points per game while averaging 4 assists at the primary ball handler and creator. Happel defends the point of attack and collects a good amount of steals with poke aways and pick-ups. Miller played with NS Titans Stone and was a big part of their top 10 rankings all season long. Miller looks for a strong spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] GVR to showcase his skillset.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140604' first='Eddie' last='Walker'] - Walker is a six-foot-five-inch Hopkins wing that runs in transition, finishes strong at the rim, can step out on occasion on the perimeter and has good effort and energy on the offensive glass.</p>   <p>Owen Albrecht - Albrecht is a six-foot-eight-inch forward from Rogers that plays the interior as a traditional big man. Albrecht has the ability to block shots with his size and reach, and back to the basket scoring. Bjerketvedt, who is stuck behind a lot of talent at Hopkins, looks to make an impression on the circuit this spring and summer.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2382199' first='Jake' last='Lis'] - Lis is a six-foot-one-inch Minnetonka guard that averaged 9.6 points per game for the Skippers. Lis defends the court 94 feet and has instincts for deflections and jumping lanes for steals. Lis can play without the ball as well as with the ball, and does well spreading the floor and shooting from the perimeter.</p>
