<p>Before the grassroots season kicks off in Illinois with the Chi-Town Tip Off we wanted to take a look back at film of prospects from all over the state from this past season. Some highly ranked and other new names. We broke them all down including here in <strong>2027 End of Season Film Review Pt 1</strong>!</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323592' first='Cole' last='DuBois'] (East Peoria – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Dubois had a big junior season for East Peoria. The point guard is a high level shot maker from beyond the arc. Moves well without the ball to get open and can create his own three off the bounce knocking down shots in rhythm. Constantly moving and relocating. Crisp ball handler that manipulates ball screens getting to his spots including on the regular for stop and pop pull up 15 footers. Sneaky athlete that wins with his speed and crafty finishing ability at the rim. Like his soft touch finishing game. High level distributor that passes well off live dribbles finding his teammates for clean looks.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2413887' first='Josh' last='Kaunas'] (Johnsburg – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Kaunas helped his team capture a sectional title while averaging 11 points and 6 rebounds a game. Shot 63 percent inside the arc and 37 percent from three. Plus athlete as a four man that can put it on the deck attacking close outs for dunks. Slick up and under post moves. Backs his man in and does damage in the paint. Converts with either hand around the rack. Spaces the floor with a clean shooting stroke. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125583' first='Andrew' last='Rudd'] (Plainfield East – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>The 6'1” junior guard is a crisp passer, scrappy defender, and capable spot up shooter. Plays with a lot of basketball savvy and flair. Quick and consistent shot mechanics. Like the feel for the game he brings to the table.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532358' first='Zaire' last='Green'] (Whitney Young – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Green is a 6'2” guard that averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 dimes, and 2 steals a game this past season shooting 48 percent from the field and 42 percent from three. Strong and compact guard who attacks downhill with strength and has excellent body control finishing around the cup. Solid spot up shooter that spaced the floor as a junior for the Dolphins.</p>

<p><strong>Frankie Zifcak (Lisle – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>The Lisle junior is coming off a season where he earned unanimous all-conference honors going for 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals a game along with shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc. The 6'3” wing has a smooth stroke with a lot of arc on the shot. Repeatable mechanics. Cuts well off the ball and can even post up smaller defenders. Has some grit to his game.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125682' first='Sean' last='Reese'] (Glenbard South – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Reese is coming off a nice year for Glenbard South where he dropped 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists a game. The 6'2” guard is a solid athlete that competes on the defensive end. Drives in the lane and finishes well with his body control at the cup. Passes well off live dribbles finding teammates on the fly. Wins with his first step for scores in the paint or kicking to shooters.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2104717' first='Gyles' last='Agyeman'] (Plainfield East – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Rangy combo guard that has spot up shooting ability. Solid athlete that has a nose for the basketball. Connective passer that can also find openings in the defense cutting off the ball for layups.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125616' first='Donavyn' last='Simmons'] (Joliet Catholic – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Simmons is coming off a strong junior campaign where the guard was the go to scorer for one of the better JCA teams in recent memory. Plus athlete at the point who has juice with the ball in his hands. Passing flair throwing lobs and pushing the pace. Creative handles off the bounce creating space for his shot or getting all the way to the rack for finishes. Sound three point shooter both pulling up and off the catch. Also like how active he is defensively with his hands getting steals.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3028129' first='Brandon' last='Tennon'] (Tremont – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Tennon is a 6'4” wing out of Tremont who has some athletic pop to his game. Throws down big left handed dunks in transition. Solid looking shot in the mid-range creating space. Attacks with long strides being able to finish with either hand. Burst with the ball in his hands being slippery through traffic and cutting on a dime.</p>

<p><strong>Wyatt Carroll (Eastland – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>The Eastland 6'0” point guard helped take his team back to state this year while averaging 11 points and 3 assists a game. Crafty guard that is crisp with the ball in his hands getting in the lane for acrobatic layups. Good jump stop finishing through traffic. Plays with good pace and is effective in the mid-range game with jumpers and floaters.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2916474' first='Mitchell' last='Potts'] (Normal Community – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Guard that brings some flair to the table. Length impacts defensively getting steals being aggressive in passing lanes. Turns defense into offense in a hurry.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2712818' first='Deven' last='Marshall'] (Rock Island – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Marshall is among the best prospects in the state's 2027 class. Averaged 20 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals a game shooting 64 percent from the field and 33 percent from three. Such an athletic lead guard that pushes the pace with his speed, explosiveness, and handles in the open floor. Loves to get out and run! One of the best finishing guards in the class with big dunks along with acrobatic conversions. Plays with a high-motor. Like the activity level and attention to detail on the defensive end. Range on the three point shot and it is going to continue to get better percentage wise.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2455389' first='Arthur' last='Abbey'] (Rock Island – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Abbey made the move over to Rock Island for his junior campaign and excelled averaging 17 points, 3 dimes, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals a game with a slash line of 45/33/75. The point guard showed more pop this year playing above the rim a little. Sweeping layups and crisp ball handling are a staple of his game. Burst with the ball in his hands getting downhill. Elite body control around the rim. Capable shooter from beyond the arc. Slick passer that makes solid decisions with the ball.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2415542' first='Nathan' last='Woods'] (Lyons – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>Woods had a rock solid sophomore campaign as the 6'4” wing averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists a game while shooting 38 percent from distance. His biggest asset is being able to knock down shots from deep at a good rate with plus positional size. Can also shot fake and get in the lane for a pull up. Moves well without the ball. Solid passer hitting teammates on the move. Active defender getting deflections and steals with his length.</p>

<p><strong>Brylan Bender (Sherrard – 2027)</strong></p>

<p>The 6'4” junior wing averaged 13.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 dimes a game. Really competes on the glass especially offensively for second chance points. Solid athlete with good length. Wins on straight line takes. Efficient finisher round the basket. Backs in and scores well in the mid-range.</p>
