Cole Dubois is a solid shooting guard who can knock down three-pointers seemingly at will or take advantage of gaps in the lane to drive to the rim. He’s not afraid to play physical and is a reliable defender who is involved in every play. While Dubois excels at shooting, he is something of a Swiss Army knife at the wing.

DuBois has been one of the main features on a tough East Peoria squad for good reason. His craftiness and slick handles with the rock create opportunities for himself and others. One of the most polished handles I saw through the weekend. Showcased 3 level scoring package that included a full speed-euro step, a reverse layup over size, a stop and pop from mid-range, and a spot up 3. Will not over dribble but will continuously attack gaps when they are there with body control and touch. Sees the floor with plus court vision for drive and kicks, skip passes, or dish offs. Scrappy primary guard for Raiders that plays with an edge.

Shifty, quick and smart with the ball, DuBois knows how to run a team and get the ball to his teammates in scoring position. He is very difficult to pressure in the full court because of his speed, and although he’s on the smaller side, he has a penchant for finding the bottom of the net on drives and from three-point range. His feistiness on defense also is a big asset for ElevateUAA as he exerts solid ball pressure throughout the contest.

Dubois is coming off a broken right hand, but he continued to fight through it with another outstanding outing recording 19 points (6-11 FG) (3-6 3PT) (4-4 FT) and 5 rebounds in the loss. Shoots it very well off movement including running from the paint to the top of the key on cuts then turning for long range shots. He also works well around ball screens both as a shooter and pin point passer. Creative finisher at the cup and gets to the charity stripe.

Runs the primary handling spot for a talented Raiders squad. Comes with shooting abilities as well. Defensively possessed quick reaction. Came up with a couple steals turning D into O. Made a nifty behind the back pass assist off a steal to continue team’s run. Plays hard on both ends and utilizes each team member’s skill level effectively. Solid two years forthcoming from the East Peoria guard.

Dubois is the sophomore lead guard that just knows how to play the game the right way! Makes sound decisions with the ball as a distributor. Good feel in both transition and the half court. Got to the line at a very high rate in this game. Burst with the ball in his hands where he can finish with a floater. Also knocked in a couple threes with a clean release scoring 25 points.
