Marshall is one of the top point guards in the class of 2027 in Illinois and he showed that this weekend through his impactful play. He has explosiveness and agility that he presents to both ends. He can agitate defensively by presenting a heavy on ball presence and quickly will speed up a game. Showcased bounce at the rim with a powerful 2-hand slam off two feet in transition and caught a lob from a teammate on the break as well. His ability to change speeds while getting down hill in the primary phase or ½ court setting separates him from others. The attacking mindset he has gives a constant source of momentum for team to thrive off of.

Top prospect in the class of 2027 showed that Friday afternoon at Ridgewood. Athletic two-way player that looks like he can grow quite a bit more. A lot of players have strong bursts, but there’s something about Marshall that makes his ability to drive to the rim so unique. He adds incredibly long strides to the rim while attacking the basket and capped it off on several instances with creative finishes at the rim. High-IQ point guard that cannot be overlooked in this class.

Marshall is a skilled and athletic combo guard who played mostly off the ball throughout the weekend.  Best assets of his game are his speed, quickness, and athleticism.  Gets to the rim, plays downhill in transition, and elevates for big jams.  Can knock in the long ball.  In one game we didn’t see he dropped 37 points.

Marshall was solid all weekend as a tough, gritty two-way guard, most effective on Friday evening and Sunday. Playing bigger than his frame, he was aggressive and quick to penetrate, consistently exploiting different defensive coverages and looks. He flashed as a tough shot-maker, showing just enough range from deep to keep defenders honest while coming up big in crunch time. Defensively, he stayed engaged and in a stance, competing on that end of the floor. At his best on the ball, he made opposing guards uncomfortable with consistent pressure. Deven was also solid in scramble and rotation situations, closing out under control and getting to the right spots to provide help when needed.

Marshall is the top prospect for Rocky.  The junior had his moments in this game as he went for 21 points.  Smooth combo guard that can play both on and off the ball.  Downhill slasher that finishes with tremendous body control around the cup when getting downhill.  Pushed in the open floor and played with good pace.  Big spring/summer ahead for him as he had 20 points.

A 2 way impactful player with a high active motor. Presented on the ball tough presence while moving off the ball quickly. Competent ball handler who gets to the rim at a quick rate. Showcased athleticism and bounce in 2^nd half with 3 dunks. One was for a great back door cut read and then finish with an alley oop flush. Soft touch in traffic and can shoot it from range as well. Competes hard with tenacity. Game 2 MVP. Will continue to gain recruiting traction from division 1 colleges for good reason.
