This 2026 class is almost done. Hard to believe it but we have had rankings for this class since they were Freshmen and have followed them all the way through their high school careers. There has been a TON of movement over the years with these kids in both the rankings and in their high school careers. This class has seen a ton of transfers into and out of (and often back into) the state over their careers. Let's break down the final edition of the rankings, continuing with numbers 6-10.

Surratt just ended a really strong career as one of the top players in Lexington over the last decade. DeMarcus is perhaps the best athlete in this class. A quick leaper who averaged 19 points this season while shooting nearly 60% from the field, Surratt is headed to Bellarmine for his college basketball career.

Jayden returned to Kentucky from Utah since our last update and finishes the rankings at 7th in the class. Johnson has a high ceiling because of his big frame and shooting abilities. When he gets downhill, Jayden's strength makes him a tough player to stop and he can get into the paint consistently. He's still undecided for his college destination.

Amari just finished his high school career as the second leading scorer in Lexington history. One of the quickest players in the state with the ball in his hands, Owens is darn near impossible to stop when he's getting downhill. Signed to EKU, Amari will excel in that system, especially if he improves his three point shooting.

Jeremiah has long been one of the best players that people don't talk about much. A big body who can make shots or get into the paint, Jackson has the potential to be a big time 3 and D player in college. Jeremiah is committed to Southern Illinois. Before then, he'll attempt to lead St. Xavier to a state title next week.

One of the biggest transfers into Kentucky before the season, Jung is an excellent shot blocker and has strong defensive instincts. A good lob threat on the offensive end, Damian is signed to Northeastern and could be an immediate impact player in college with his size and athleticism.
