2026 6A State Tournament - Session 2 Top Performers

Here are some of the top performers from the second session of the 2026 6A State Tournament. Jesuit beat Oregon City 42-38 and Central Catholic beat Grant 75-55. A crafty guard with a smooth outside shot, he scored from multiple spots while staying active on both ends. Quick and a solid defender, Stimpson also came through in clutch moments and contributed across the board for his team.     Hopkins turned in a strong performance with 14 points and 8 rebounds. A versatile and athletic presence, he attacked the rim with a quick first step and showed nice touch around the basket, including a smooth turnaround jumper. Hopkins also protected the rim, had a couple of nice dunks as well, and could finish with either hand at the rim while also battling on the boards.     [player_tooltip player_id='2026063' first='Alarion' last='Scott'] finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds, making his impact as an active slasher and rim runner. He created opportunities with smart cuts to the basket, set up teammates well, and showed strength as a solid post presence while contributing on the glass.     Nicholson delivered a standout performance, finishing with a game-high 27 points and 6 rebounds. A smart, hardworking wing, he scored at all three levels with a solid outside shot and a strong mid-range game. Nicholson also finished well at the rim, handled the ball confidently, and played through contact while contributing on the boards. Long is a solid free-throw shooter and has the ability to knock down shots from the outside, making him a reliable scoring option.     Miller used his length and athleticism to make an impact on both ends of the floor. A great all-around shooter, Miller has a smooth, good-looking shot and the ability to score from multiple spots. He runs the floor well and plays effectively in transition, while also contributing on the glass as a solid rebounder. Miller's athleticism allows him to play above the rim, adding another dimension to his game. He finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds.     [player_tooltip player_id='2744610' first='Abraham' last='Cogan'] finished with a team-high 15 points and 9 rebounds, showing why he's such an intriguing young prospect. The freshman brings good length and is a strong rim protector, using his athleticism to impact the game defensively. Cogan can jump out of the gym and frequently plays above the rim, while also crashing the boards hard. Offensively, he shows promise with a smooth fadeaway, the ability to knock down outside shots, and he's a decent free-throw shooter, giving him a well-rounded skill set for such a young player.     Mason finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds, using his athleticism to impact the game in multiple ways. A solid outside shooter, Mason can stretch the floor while also attacking the rim when opportunities open up. He plays with energy, often keeping plays alive and competing on loose balls. Mason is an athletic forward who can elevate, and he complements that with his ball-handling and a reliable free-throw percentage, making him a steady contributor on the offensive end.
