Game Recap

The Fishers Tigers got off to a fast start in this one behind the playmaking of Junior Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary']. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor without having to score was on full display as he was carving up the Penn defense to get Fishers out to an early 9-2 . 6'5” Junior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2470635' first='Levi' last='Walker'] and 6'1” Senior Guard Jean-Claude L'Homme were the beneficiaries as the 1st Quarter played on from Zachary's assists. Penn settled in behind 6'5” Sophomore Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2457404' first='Caleb' last='Coolman']. He had his full offensive arsenal on display. Noticeably bigger, stronger, and more athletic, he was able to get in the lane and finish in a variety of different ways finishing the 1st Quarter with 8 of Penn's 10 points as the Kingsmen trailed 17-10 after the 1st Quarter.

Fishers opened the 2nd Quarter on a 10-0 run pushing their lead to 17 points. The Tigers do such a good job sharing the ball, it makes them so incredibly hard to guard. Again, Coolman settled in for Penn making plays both as a scorer and a facilitator to cut the halftime deficit to 13, 33-20. Freshman Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2921266' first='Mikell' last='Burton'] was a spark off the bench for the Kingsmen with his defensive prowess. Coolman led all scorers with 12 points in the first half. Zachary had 5 points and 6 assists as he was in complete control of the Fishers offensive attack.

The Kingsmen came out in the 3rd Q with some fight to them as 6'5” Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561075' first='Lucas' last='Obermeyer'] caught fire from 3. The smooth shooting wing did a nice job of staying shot ready and making himself available for open looks. With 3:48 to play in the 3rd Quarter, Penn had cut the lead down to 8, 44-36 before Fishers ends the period on a 9-4 run to take a 53-40 lead into the final quarter. 6'7” Senior Wing Ethan Hillsman got his offense going with a couple offensive putbacks and a kick out 3 from the top of the key. 6'9” Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='1509229' first='Kai' last='McGrew'] also got in on the action as he took over the game with his low post game seemingly scoring at every time he got a touch.

In the 4th Quarter, the Fishers Tigers threw their knockout punch extending their lead to 61-43 and never looked back as the undefeated #1 Tigers defeated Penn 74-54. 6'5” Sophomore Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2457404' first='Caleb' last='Coolman'] was excellent for the Kingsmen finishing with 26 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. 6'5” Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561075' first='Lucas' last='Obermeyer'] was also in double figures knocking down four 3's finishing with 14 points to go along with 2 steals. 6'9” Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='1509229' first='Kai' last='McGrew'] led three Tigers in double figures with 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. 6'7” Senior Wing Ethan Hillsman followed with 17 points and 4 rebounds. 5'10” Junior Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] was brilliant finishing with a double-double 13 points, 10 assists, and 3 steals.

There just simply isn't enough good things to say about the game of [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary']. Not many weaknesses on the floor. Along with being an unselfish playmaker, he's a high level shooter with limitless range. He's a terrific on ball defender that is a threat of turning defense to offense on every possession. He's a fiery competitor that plays with a high motor every possession.
