It all went down on Saturday at O'Fallon High School featuring teams from Illinois, Missouri, and Tennessee! Time to dive into the day here!

Cardinal Ritter Opens With Win over Host O'Fallon

Missouri took the first of three border battle games against Illinois as Cardinal Ritter topped O'Fallon by a final of 60-44. [player_tooltip player_id='2701094' first='Aiden' last='Stevenson'] came out aggressive early in the game getting his squad rolling. The combo guard attacked the defense with his quickness off the bounce, crisp shot making from the perimeter, and tenacity scoring round the cup as he notched 14 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2701096' first='Rashon' last='Wright'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1850523' first='Oscar' last='Patterson'] each brought perimeter scoring pop in the win getting downhill for soft touch finishes and to the line netting 10 points and 6 points respectively. A young 2028 duo emerged in this one for them in [player_tooltip player_id='2877207' first='Maverick' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2604992' first='Darnell' last='Irving']. Davis jumps off the floor as a 6'3” with a long and rangy frame and instincts defensively. Feathery three and got to the line for 5 points. Irving is a 6'4” small forward that plays with a lot of energy, high points rebounds, and knocked in a wing three for 8 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1501486' first='Ben' last='Akoro'] is a UW-Milwaukee commit that struggled shooting it from the field going 4-14 FG, but impacted in other ways. Rebounded at a very high level recording double digit rebounds along with using his length on the defensive end swatting multiple shots in the loss. Willing passer that makes the extra pass. He had 11 points. Calvin Dees stepped up with his shooting from deep draining a pair of threes for 10 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2734465' first='Jayden' last='Dancy'] is a tough wing that brings physicality on the glass and is tough scoring around the hoop as he had 8 points.

Guards Dazzle as Decatur MacArthur Edges Past Webster Groves

MacArthur moves to 26-1 on the season as they knocked off Webster Groves by final of 69-57. It was the [player_tooltip player_id='2323268' first='Tishawn' last='Clemmons'] show in this game as the senior leader for MacArthur went off for 28 points including 6-16 from beyond the three point arc. His first 18 points of the game came all from distance. Then he went to work with shifty handles and takes for scores in the paint on hesi drives and acrobatic layups. Kid is a winner! Active on the defensive end and makes sound passes. Fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='2105414' first='Sean' last='Lee'] is a well built combo forward that shot it well hitting a pair of spot up threes along with a tough turnaround baseline J to open the contest finishing with 10 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2455400' first='Damonte' last='Phillips'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2890389' first='Khymir' last='Carson'] were all over the floor on the defensive end as each turned over the opponent multiple times for steals turning them into scores as Phillips had 10 points and Carson notched 8 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2381555' first='Kendall' last='Howell'] is a versatile long and lanky forward with quickness on the glass who had 5 points.

Mizzou commit [player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] lived up to the billing of the top junior in Missouri. The 2027 guard has added significant strength and his floor game as a passer has been taken to another level. He was known more as a scorer early in his career, but it was his passing that stole the show as he was finding guys with bullet passes threading the needle through the defense along with throwing lobs off live dribbles. He racked up the dimes in this game. Also went to work as a scorer with an efficient 30 points including 3-5 from deep and getting to the line at a very high rate. Does a nice job of keeping the defense off balance with his handles creating space for his jumper along with drawing contact in the lane. Acrobatic finisher around the cup. He had 30 points and 8 dimes. [player_tooltip player_id='2339267' first='Jayden' last='Woods'] was the recipient of many of those assists. The bouncy wing played above the rim throughout the night throwing down multiple dunks. He is a pogo stick athlete that is quick off the ground finishing on cuts consistently as he had 17 points on 8-10 from the field.

Vashon Leaves No Doubt in Win Over Alton

This one was not close from the beginning. Vashon jumped out early and never looked back winning over Alton 75-39. The overall speed, athleticism, and defensive intensity on the Vashon side were off the charts in this game. It all starts with their star [player_tooltip player_id='2334898' first='Jimmy' last='McKinney Jr.'] The junior was outstanding in the victory as he recorded 21 points including making four from beyond the arc. Athletic combo guard that showcased his feathery jump shot along with strong playmaking instincts as he got others involved off live dribbles making good decisions on the fly notching 5 assists. Fellow 2027 prospect Leon [player_tooltip player_id='2873209' first='Powell' last=''] Jr. is a wing that jumps off the table because of his size, length, and defensive upside at the next level. He was all over the floor defending getting steals and being disruptive. Also shot it well from the perimeter pouring in multiple triples along with getting on the glass for 12 points and half a dozen boards. Yet another junior [player_tooltip player_id='2239022' first='Khalil' last='Crain'] had a strong outing as the lefty guard has a crisp pullup game and gets loose in transition notching 12 points. Bouncy senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2090498' first='Kain' last='McCaskill'] did what he always does playing off his energy and athleticism along with spot up shooting. Also want to note Armon Aaron who isn't the most talked about senior, but got the V going early in this one draining 3-4 from deep for 9 points. Senior post [player_tooltip player_id='2536467' first='Christian' last='Potts'] has legit size and a nice frame. Rebounds well in his area, protects the rim, and finishes above the cup as he had 4 points.

As Alton was without their second best player it was a tough night. The bright spot was Alton star senior [player_tooltip player_id='2376270' first='Semaj' last='Stampley'] who is a South Dakota State commit became the all-time leading scorer in Alton history with a step back jumper in the fourth quarter as he finished with 10 points in the contest. [player_tooltip player_id='2962299' first='O'Bryant' last='Brown'] is a strong bodied wing that has some shot making potential and is tough in the paint on the glass notching 10 points as well. Broad shouldered power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2955393' first='Jamarion' last='Green'] is going to be a nice small college or JUCO big man with his rebounding, finishing, and floor spacing potential going for 6 points and 8 rebounds.

Bartlett (TN) Lives Up to Hype in W against Bolingbrook

Bartlett is among the best “real” high school teams in the country this year. They lived up to it in a 72-42 win against Bolingbrook. Barlett's stars are a pair of forwards in sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2194617' first='DJ' last='Okoth'] and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2291122' first='Dylan' last='Jones']. In my first eval of Okoth we came away with rave reviews! The 6'6” small forward has a long and wiry frame. He is so quick off the floor almost like he is on a trampoline when jumping. Threw down some nasty slams including alley oops where he threw down with force! Can handle the rock blowing past defenders for jams and using his quickness in the paint for acrobatic buckets. So agile as a finisher in the paint. Capable shooter with baseline twos, jab steps into mid-range jumpers, and a corner three. Showed intensity on the defensive end as well as he had 24 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2291122' first='Dylan' last='Jones'] is a strong bodied combo forward who is an elite level athlete! Massive dunks on lobs and in transition. Ran into a three on the break off the catch and was tenacious on the glass notching 15 points. Sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194475' first='Braylon' last='Williams'] has a bright future. Lead guard who is a plus pull up jump shooter, works well around ball screens, and has a good passing feel scoring 11 points. SEMO commit [player_tooltip player_id='2083148' first='Axton' last='Perry'] had flashes as the four man put in a hook shot and was a monster on the glass with his pogo stick second jump.

Bolingbrook got solid games from their top two players, but they didn't get much production after that. Top 2028 prospect in Illinois [player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] is a silky smooth operator that knocked in tough pull up threes, nifty reverse layups, and soft touch finishes in a 16 point outing. His running mate [player_tooltip player_id='1552408' first='TJ' last='Williams'] is among the better uncommitted wings on the board in 2026. Long and rangy wing with a feathery touch from mid-range as he poured in shots off the dribble all game long in the 15-18 foot range. Got loose in transition as well finishing with 17 points.
