Okoth has the prototypical wing combination of size, length, athleticism and finishing ability that makes him a Top 30-ranked prospect in the country. The wiry 6-foot-7 junior-to-be was an aggressive downhill driver who attacked closeouts in the half-court situations and covered ground quickly in transition where he glided to the rim for crafty or powerful finishes. Okoth stuffed the stat sheet in Vegas as he averaged 22.5 points and 7.7 rebounds, including two 30-point games and better than four offensive rebounds per game.

Okoth definitely showed why he is among the premier wing prospects in the 2028 class nationally. The 6’5” small forward is a wiry quick twitched athlete who brought a very high-motor in this game. His explosive second jump on the offensive glass was a huge reason for the impact he had in this game. Like a pogo stick out there! Was aggressive on the offensive end with baseline takes, spins out of the post, and shooting it in the mid-range. He had 20 points (8-16 FG), 5 rebounds (4 offensive), and 4 assists.

One of the most productive players in the 2028 class, few players can match Okoth’s motor, interior scoring, rebounding and overall production. I get fired up when a top nationally ranked prospect competes harder than anybody on the court and that’s usually what Okoth does for Barlett, Alabama Fusion and at Team USA minicamp. With his rebounding, defensive ability and interior scoring, Okoth is very productive as a 16 U player and if he develops his ball handling ability, he will be a complete player on the wing. Very talented prospect who is a consensus top 15 player in the country and already has won Tennessee Division I class 4A Mr Basketball as just a sophomore.

If you don’t know his name by now, you will very soon. DJ just won a state title at Bartlett and is looking for more with the Alabama Fusion EYBL over the summer. The class of 2028 star showed why he is at the top of his class, both in his state and nationally. His athleticism was on display from start to finish, dunking ferociously anytime he was around the rim. He used his length on the defensive end, pressuring the ball, contesting shots at the rim, getting out in passing lanes, and rebounding at a high level. He is a force to be reckoned with and will be for a while.
