An anticipated matchup between two of New Jersey's most established Non-Public programs, St. Benedict's Prep traveled to Jersey City, NJ to face off against St. Peter's Prep. Although St. Peter's took a commanding lead early on and never really looked back, a number of notable prospects put together bright moments that highlighted the intrigue around their overall skillsets. With that being said, let's take a closer look at the action that took place last night.    Delivering a standout scoring performance that saw him erupt for 30 points against St. Benedict's, [player_tooltip player_id='1609109' first='Richie' last='Rosa'] exhibited his seasoned and high octane lead guard capabilities, shouldering the bulk of St. Peter's ball handling and playmaking responsibilities. Rosa operated with poise and control and settled into a crazy rhythm, relying heavily on PnR actions and showing a firm grasp of how to manipulate coverages— creating scoring opportunities for himself by creating separation off the bounce and knocking down smooth mid range pull ups mixed with tough two foot, soft touch floaters in the paint while also flashing his ability to knock down outside shots from three point range off the bounce, with deep range accuracy. Rosa complemented his scoring prowess with smart and instinctive facilitation— keeping the defense honest and consistently locating open teammates for advantageous scoring chances.     Continuing to establish himself as a reliable two way, high impact wing, [player_tooltip player_id='2858267' first='Oscar' last='Martinez'] impressed once again—particularly with his offensive feel and the physical tools and toughness he brings on the defensive end. A lengthy and twitchy guard, Postell Jr strung together some bright moments that were reflective of his overall skillset and what his development could look like later down the line— exhibiting a confident shooting profile that remains promising, ultimately demonstrating his ability to create separation off the bounce and knock down outside shots off the dribble while also flashing his ability to attack driving angles and absorb contact to get to the free throw line.     Commanding the offense from the point guard spot with poise and a tight and confident handle, [player_tooltip player_id='3270158' first='Jack' last='Martinez'] showcased an impressive ability to legitimately create opportunistic scoring chances for his teammates and get others the ball in the right spots in different areas on the floor. More often than not, Martinez made the right reads— attacking driving angles to draw help and hit cutters diving to the basket while also creating plays out of the PnR. Martinez still remained a threat to score, creating perimeter shots off the bounce and getting in the lane for tough looks at the basket. Showing deep confidence from three point range with his quick and high shooting release, Hinkov impressed with a dynamic shooting profile— knocking down shots as a movement shooter coming off pin downs while also showcasing his ability to be just as effective a shooter as a screener in ghost action(s). Combined with his size, strength and physicality, Hinkov also made his presence felt on the glass, absorbing contact and converting on multiple second chance opportunities at the free throw line
