did nothing but reaffirm that status in his first action since joining PSA. handled that target on his back with poise and legitimately built a reputation as one of the state’s most highly touted freshman under first year head coach Chris Simpson in a turn around season at St. Benedict’s Prep, particularly with the intrigue that continues to surround his long term upside as a dynamic and twitchy guard with a unique blend of positional size and strong ball skills. Turning in a number of strong and aggressive scoring performances over the course of his first year, Postell Jr demonstrated his confident and natural scoring ability— dangerous perimeter shooting ability as a spot up shooter and off the dribble while also creating his own scoring opportunities with a quick and controlled handle to get to downhill and finish with craftiness around the basket mixed with creating separation for smooth mid range pull ups and tough fadeaways. Effective in the open floor, Postell Jr also generated a ton of offense in transition, often times showcasing his athleticism for explosive above the rim finishes. Equally impactful on the defensive end with his lengthy arms paired with his energy and effort, Postell Jr proved to be disruptive in the passing lanes and ware down opposing ball handlers to force turnovers. Though he’s still in the early stages of his development, Postell Jr. has clear upside to grow into one of the top prospects in the 2029 class.

. is an intriguing guard prospect who blends excellent positional size with legitimate ball skills and notable long term upside. Postell Jr turned in an impressive scoring performance, one that particularly highlighted his instinctual feel and ability to still be effective without the ball in his hands— moving well off the ball for backdoor cuts in Benedict’s different half court actions. Postell Jr. was also effective creating offense for himself off the dribble— attacking certain driving angles off the bounce to convert on soft touch floaters and runners from different angles around the basket in traffic. With Benedict’s guard rotation being a little thin in this matchup, Postell Jr. also impressed with his ability to shoulder some of the ball handling responsibilities for moments at time and initiate offense. Defensively, Postell Jr. made a handful of high impact plays as well— leveraging his glaring length to be disruptive at the point of attack to turn intense ball pressure into easy offense on the other end.

delivered a standout performance to kick things off at the JP Flynn Memorial Tournament with an impressive 30 point performance that highlighted so much of his advanced scoring skillset. Extremely comfortable out of the triple threat, Postell Jr. plays withs an immense amount of confidence and brings a well rounded skill set, highlighted by his ability to score in a multitude of ways— knocking down outside shots, highlighted by an impressive 7/7 from three point distance against Delbarton last Friday afternoon and creating off the bounce and getting to his spots for smooth, in rhythm mid range pull ups. Although still early in his on court development, Postell Jr. definitely has the potential to emerge as a top prospect in the 2029 class.

Coming off a 30-point outburst earlier in the week, Postell was quieter in the scoring column but still popped off the bench to show plenty of long-term appeal in a narrow loss to Bethel Academy (VA). Helping lead a turnaround at St. Benedict’s under first-year coach Chris Simpson, Postell is a wiry and twitchy guard prospect with a frame that easily projects toward the higher levels. He’s shown the makings of a premier jump shooter, and while he was a bit off on Tuesday (2-for-7 from deep), his mechanics and unbridled confidence give plenty of reason for optimism overall. Known as a scorer, Postell also showed a balanced floor game that was devoid of many “freshman moments”. It would be of no surprise to see him continue to come along as he gains experience throughout the season with a chance to emerge as the top 2029 prospect in the state moving forward.
