Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Returning from a deep bench role and stepping into a spot in the starting five, Chase looked comfortable running the show for a high-octane Benedict’s lineup. The New York native is the Gray Bees’ most reliable ballhandler, tightly controlling the rock while navigating to spots with mature pace. He’s primarily a table-setter in his current role but showed comfort as a pullup shooter with range out to 3, and also stepped up to knock down the game-winner off the catch in a last-second win over Linden. Chase isn’t blessed with top-end physical tools but his skill level and toughness make him a clear candidate to wind up on scholarship-level radars in due time.

13p 7r 2a 5s vs Middlesex Magic
-Chase really came to life in the 2H after a slow 1H where he struggled from the field, turning it up at the right time to show some advanced skill with the ball in his hands. Chase started things off with back to back steals that he turned into assists at the other end, picked off a crosscourt skip and raced it to score at the rim, knocked down a corner 3 off the catch, showed no hesitation to take and make a contested 3 late in the game to cut the score to 1, and was real difficult to stay in front of both in the halfcourt and in transition. Loved the burst that he showed changing the level and tempo of his dribble to get to his spots without picking up the ball, often rejecting the screen to use his defender’s momentum against them to create an advantage for his team. Intriguing scoring point guard to track in 2029.
