has quickly emerged as one of New Jersey’s premier perimeter shooting threats. That reputation has become increasingly more clear ever since— consistently displayed elite range, confidence, and shot making ability from beyond the arc. Hinkov’s remained a constant threat to knock down threes thanks to his quick and high release, thriving both as a movement shooter coming off pin downs and various screening actions, while also proving highly effective as a C+S option in spot up situations, giving this 17U Rens offense valuable floor spacing. Beyond the numbers, Hinkov also demonstrated the intangibles that make him such a dangerous perimeter weapon, staying shot ready away from the ball, sprinting to the corners in transition, and moving well within half court sets to create passing windows and open looks from deep.
With legitimate size for his position paired with a noticeably physical frame, it won’t be long before Hinkov begins to attract interest from a list of Division I programs that value his skillset that translates seamlessly to the next level.

With deep range and unwavering confidence, he buried threes using his quick and elevated release—thriving both as a movement shooter off pin down screens and as a floor spacing threat as a spot up shooter. has already developed a reputation as one of the state’s most dangerous perimeter shooters. Extremely confident from three point range, Hinkov demonstrated a potent and versatile shooting ability—proving equally effective as a spot up shooter as he is a shooter off the bounce. Hinkov also impressed in his ability to allow his gravity as a shooter to open up additional offense for himself, particularly in the ways he was able to get to his spots in the mid range area off the bounce. True snipers are always in demand and Hinkov may get the nod for the best shooting prospect that we saw during our time in Salisbury. New to the U.S. this fall from his native Bulgaria, the swingman looks to be adapting quickly to the American game if his Tuesday evening performance was any indication. Despite a narrow loss, Hinkov poured in 23 points while knocking down 5 shots from beyond the arc on a whopping 13 attempts. Hinkov impressed with his polished and compact quick-release mechanics along with his consistent instincts for relocating to open space and making quick decisions on the catch. With good size for his position, a solid base of strength, and some toughness displayed in the floor game, Hinkov should see a wide array of D1 programs placing value in his translatable off-ball skillset.

still found ways to impact the game despite not really settling into a nice rhythm from three throughout the course of Benedict’s first matchup of the JP Flynn Memorial Tournament. Contrary to his normal sharpshooting ability, Hinkov was able to get going in the low post area with a lot of the different actions Benedict’s runs to get clean looks on strong seals down low— showcasing an ability to play through contact and finish inside with good position.
