The first full week of May is here, meaning the spring live period is creeping closer. The 2028 class is primed to have a big May, especially in the back court. Here are the 2028 Non-Public B guards who could have a big May.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397968' first='Connor' last='Junker'], 6'1 PG Gill St. Bernard's

Junker had a big sophomore season for the Knights and should carry it over into May. The 6'1 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Junker is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the paint off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. He can also play off the ball and slides his feet on the defensive end. Junker is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this May.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504745' first='Chase' last='Bray'], 5'11 PG Roselle Catholic

Bray should have the ball in his hands this May, which will help his game in a big way. The 5'11 guard plays with composure on the ball as he rarely gets sped up by on-ball pressure and threads passes to his open teammates in the half court. Bray wastes little motion in his shooting stroke and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He pushes the pace well in transition and uses his quick hands to get deflections on the defensive end. Bray is a true floor general whose ability to run the offense will be something to watch over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763609' first='Jake' last='Ellis'], 5'10 PG/CG St. Mary's Rutherford

Ellis stepped up in a big way for the Gaels in 2025-26 as he helped them reach the county finals and state semifinals. The 5'10 guard uses his tight handle to get to his spot on the floor and can finish through contact. Ellis can also score in the mid-range and sets his feet before he shoots. He plays with good court vision in the half court and works hard on the defensive end. Ellis is a skilled guard prospect who should put his game on full display throughout the course of May.

[player_tooltip player_id='2972049' first='Julian' last='Ceberio'], 6'5 SG/CG Rutgers Prep

Ceberio took a big step up this season and is looking to carry that form over into May. The 6'5 guard has a clean shooting stroke and moves well without the ball in his hands. Ceberio can also put the ball on the floor and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated rebounder. Ceberio's ability to stretch the floor and defend the perimeter will help his stock in a big way this month.

[player_tooltip player_id='2626527' first='Noah' last='Ayesh'], 5'11 PG/SG Pioneer Academy

Ayesh has the ability to breakout this May as he should get more looks on the offensive end. The 5'11 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finishes well around the rim. Ayesh moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He is a tough on-ball defender and is an underrated passer. Ayesh is a gritty guard prospect who does whatever it takes to help his team win games.

Other Prospects to Track:

[player_tooltip player_id='2398463' first='Jordan' last='Rue'], 5'11 PG Ranney

[player_tooltip player_id='3272224' first='Joshua' last='Douchand'], 5'10 PG/SG Wardlaw-Hartridge

[player_tooltip player_id='2980791' first='Braeden' last='Dawes'], 6'1 PG Montclair Kimberley

[player_tooltip player_id='3429758' first='Dylan' last='Diaz'], 5'10 PG/SG Saddle River Day

[player_tooltip player_id='2763592' first='Deacon' last='Moody'], SG Morris Catholic
