has opened the spring with a handful of strong showings and has looked rather comfortable taking on legitimate point guard responsibilities, something a little different than what he’s accustomed to playing with his high school team. Junker’s performances have been highlighted by tough and confident outside shooting, further reinforcing his reputation as a dangerous and versatile perimeter threat. With increased playmaking duties than normal, Junker has shown he’s more than capable—navigating ball pressure with poise and composure, demonstrating solid court vision as a facilitator, and consistently finding bigs inside to generate scoring opportunities for guys on the interior.
Having picked up an offer from NJIT earlier this spring, look for Junker to continue to garner the interest of several scholarship programs throughout the course of the rest of the spring.

continued a strong start to the spring with yet another strong showing, looking more and more poised in a true point guard role. Junker’s performance was highlighted by confident perimeter shooting, reinforcing his reputation as a versatile scoring threat from the outside. Taking on more playmaking responsibility and assimilating more comfortably than he typically does, Junker showed he could rise to the challenge —handling pressure effectively, reading the floor well in transition, and making a lot of strong reads in PnR action, delivering precise and on times passes to set up interior scoring opportunities for this GB Blue Devils offense.

Providing a consistent two-way spark in a game that was devoid of many offensive highlights, Junker delivered 11 points in support of Mulcahy, showing his toughness and polished skillset in the process. The sophomore guard was able to use his handle to generate pressure on the paint, finishing at the rim at an impressive rate for a guard his size. Junker showed a quick and confident release from 3 both off the catch and the dribble while playing tough-nosed on-ball defense at the point of attack on the other end. He was also able to flash his passing feel on a handful of transition opportunities. The future appears bright for Junker, who already holds a couple D1 offers and will step into a marquee role for the Knights next year.

continued to demonstrate reasons why he demands so much defensive attention at all times, forcing opponents to constantly locate him on the floor and always close out aggressively. Proving his value as an extremely dangerous and insanely confident shooter, Junker converted on a number of spot up looks off the catch, with deep range accuracy, while also flashing his ability to be just as effective creating a little bit of separation off the dribble and knocking down outside shots off the bounce.
