Coronado came out like a team on a mission. The Cougars controlled the first quarter from the opening tip, surging to a 19–8 lead before Gorman burned a timeout, but the stoppage did little to slow them down. They stayed aggressive and closed the quarter ahead 24–9.

The second quarter evened out, but Gorman never fully recovered from the early hole. Coronado stayed in command and entered halftime ahead 37–26.

After the break, the Cougars rediscovered their offensive flow, pouring in another 19 points in the third. On the other end, they made life difficult for the Gaels, protecting the paint with discipline and physicality. He opened the game by knocking down multiple free throws and a three, setting the tone early. Greig then splashed three more shots from beyond the arc for the Cougars, and it was clear he was in a rhythm. He also showcased his PF Flyers in the open court, blowing past defenders and finishing at the rim with authority.
