Grieg continues to evolve as a multi-positional offense threat for Coronado. The long, wiry 6-foot-6 wing has the ball skills, fluidity and body control to play as a primary ball handler where he creates in isolation for himself and teammates. Grieg was most effective when breaking down his defender, punching his way into the lane and scoring through contact or drawing contact to get to the free throw line. Grieg’s three-point shooting has improved over the last few months which has made his slashing ability much more effective.

He will leave defenders in the dust before they can blink and he can likely convert some finishes with his eyes closed. Beyond his scoring ability, he dishes out assists, gathers rebounds, and consistently uses his length on defense to make his matchup’s life difficult.

He can get downhill in a hurry, and many of his finishes around the basket feature really nice touch. The pressure he puts on the rim is relentless, and it’s never wise to give him too much of a window to attack. I also liked the pace he played with at times, and he used his length to play some stout defense on the other end.

He has been putting up numbers recently at Section 7 and the Nevada Live Invitational. Showcasing his has ability to drain shots from the outside, and finishing through contact in the paint regularly. Greig’s also one to attack when he see’s a window, and it continues to be a strong suit of his. Beyond his scoring, he can cause turnovers and will push the pace post steal. Look for him to keep it going with All In Elite the rest of the summer.

He recognized when the defense was giving him too much room to operate and took full advantage. He also found scoring opportunities inside, and got to the line. Defensively, he did a good job of matching feet and utilizing his wingspan to keep his man in front of him.

He was using his long strides to get to the rack, and converted tough finishes from there. He also buried triples, and got buckets inside when he utilized his footwork. It was impressive to watch, and he makes it look easy at times. Considering his scoring prowess and size, there could be more interest and offers coming his way this month.

Will the reigning Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year repeat? It’s definitely possible. He has just about all the traits you look for in a prospect, and he can take over games, as evidenced by his performances in the 5A State Semifinals and Finals. On defense, he gets in passing lanes to come up with steals or deflections, and his wingspan makes him difficult to get around. On offense, he leverages his burst to get to his spots, and he has an outside shot that he can utilize as well. If he continues to build on that momentum, he’ll be right back in the mix. And don’t be surprised if he delivers more big-time performances when it matters most.

Munir Greig Munir Greig 6'6" | SF/PG Coronado | 2027 State #92 Nation NV still sits atop the 2027 rankings after showcasing his next-level skills throughout the year for the Coronado Cougars. The 6’6 junior wasted no time getting comfortable in his new threads, scoring 20 or more points multiple times at the beginning of the year. He then kept it rolling the rest of the season, skirting around defenders regularly on his way to the cup and consistently doing damage from the free throw line. He then helped the Cougars cap off their playoff run with two big-time performances in the NIAA 5A semifinal and final. Look for him to continue to make noise with Team WhyNot during the AAU circuit.

He made them pay at the line, knocking down an impressive 12 free throws. Greig also drained a couple of 3-pointers and dished out several quality assists that led to easy buckets for his teammates. Overall, it was a complete performance from him and a fitting way to cap off a great season for the Cougars.

He opened the game by knocking down multiple free throws and a three, setting the tone early. Greig then splashed three more shots from beyond the arc for the Cougars, and it was clear he was in a rhythm. He also showcased his PF Flyers in the open court, blowing past defenders and finishing at the rim with authority. Look for the junior guard to keep it rolling on Friday.
