was draining shots for Coronado on day 1. He recognized when the defense was giving him too much room to operate and took full advantage. He also found scoring opportunities inside, and got to the line. Defensively, he did a good job of matching feet and utilizing his wingspan to keep his man in front of him.

consistently found ways to score for the Coronado Cougars down in Arizona. He was using his long strides to get to the rack, and converted tough finishes from there. He also buried triples, and got buckets inside when he utilized his footwork. It was impressive to watch, and he makes it look easy at times. Considering his scoring prowess and size, there could be more interest and offers coming his way this month.

Will the reigning Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year repeat? It’s definitely possible. He has just about all the traits you look for in a prospect, and he can take over games, as evidenced by his performances in the 5A State Semifinals and Finals. On defense, he gets in passing lanes to come up with steals or deflections, and his wingspan makes him difficult to get around. On offense, he leverages his burst to get to his spots, and he has an outside shot that he can utilize as well. If he continues to build on that momentum, he’ll be right back in the mix. And don’t be surprised if he delivers more big-time performances when it matters most.

still sits atop the 2027 rankings after showcasing his next-level skills throughout the year for the Coronado Cougars. The 6’6 junior wasted no time getting comfortable in his new threads, scoring 20 or more points multiple times at the beginning of the year. He then kept it rolling the rest of the season, skirting around defenders regularly on his way to the cup and consistently doing damage from the free throw line. He then helped the Cougars cap off their playoff run with two big-time performances in the NIAA 5A semifinal and final. Look for him to continue to make noise with Team WhyNot during the AAU circuit.

kept defenders on their heels all game long, consistently drawing contact on his drives to the rack. He made them pay at the line, knocking down an impressive 12 free throws. Greig also drained a couple of 3-pointers and dished out several quality assists that led to easy buckets for his teammates. Overall, it was a complete performance from him and a fitting way to cap off a great season for the Cougars.

did his thing against Bishop Gorman in the 5A State Semifinals. He opened the game by knocking down multiple free throws and a three, setting the tone early. Greig then splashed three more shots from beyond the arc for the Cougars, and it was clear he was in a rhythm. He also showcased his PF Flyers in the open court, blowing past defenders and finishing at the rim with authority. Look for the junior guard to keep it rolling on Friday.

has been putting together a strong season for the Coronado Cougars. At the moment, he’s averaging 16.3 PPG, 8 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1.7 SPG, and 0.4 BPG, and the production matches the eye test. His size, ball-handling ability, and overall athleticism clearly separate him from most opponents on the floor. Greig consistently applies pressure to defenders, effortlessly skirting around them at full speed while maintaining control. I’m also a fan of how frequently he gets to the charity stripe, as he understands how much damage he can do when attacking. With another month still left to make his claim for Gatorade Player of the Year, there’s little doubt he’ll be firmly in the conversation. Especially if he can help guide the Cougars to a state title.

In a game that truly felt like a rock fight, Munir Greig did everything he possibly could for his team in the OT loss to Greenfield. He led a super strong first half effort that gave Coronado a nice cushion heading into the half and found a way to counter once Greenfield found their game late in the 4th. Greig finished with 14 Points, 5 Rebounds, and 4 Assists on 4-7 from the floor. Greig also made all six of his attempts at the free throw line on the evening. Greig’s ability to cover ground defensively on the perimeter along with his physical gifts while actually guarding the ball make him a real weapon on that end of the floor. He’s constantly putting pressure on the opposing defenders and the rim. Greig’s ability to be a real primary ball handler at 6’6″ makes him one of the more versatile perimeter players in the class nationally. He does everything you want a player of his size to do on the floor + a whole lot of PG skills blended in with it. Greig will be one of the nations highest recruited players nationally in the 2027 class.

made a living at the line against Corona Centennial. He did a fantastic job of attacking the cracks in the defense, and defenders had no choice but to foul him, as they really couldn’t slow him down. Like Dorrough, he was also perfect from the charity stripe, going 11-11. On the other end of the court, he caused a couple of turnovers.
