Under-the-Radar Stars From the Week – Part One

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from games all across the state of Indiana this week just as we do every week. However, what consistently sets our coverage apart are the eyes and ears we keep in gyms even when we can't attend. If we only discussed the prospects that we saw in person we couldn't possibly cover enough athletes. Auler, a 6'2" junior guard, is having a strong season for the Blue Devils. He posted his first double-double on Saturday night finishing with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists in Tipton's 78-55 win over Peru. On Saturday, the Raiders were led by this 5'11" senior guard who poured in 20 points while also dishing out 7 assists in the championship game. He poured in 23 points, including 5-7 shooting from three-point range, in a 70-54 win at Hanover Central. Hudson IV has largely flown under-the-radar despite being a 6'3" guard with good grades and some real offensive talent. He is really showing off his talent this season leading Muncie Central to a 5-3 recored. On Friday night Johnson hit the game-winner to defeat Lafayette Jeff 53-51 and scored a game-high 31 points to lead all scorers. It was an incredibly impressive offensive performance from the senior big man. He then backed it up by scoring 23 points in a tightly contested game against Whitko. The 6'4" Smith helped led the Panthers to an impressive 70-61 win over Shortridge on Saturday night. In the game he finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. However, the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 2A #3 Golden Eagles knocked off Zionsville 51-43 to answer any and all of those questions. [player_tooltip player_id='2266894' first='Jace' last='Tonagel'], a talented junior guard, had 16 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals in the win. Oak Hill is now 10-0 on the season.
