He broke down the defense with penetration into the lane that forced rotations, then fired crisp cross court passes to open shooters. Quick handles and smart cuts beat presses and zones, while his defensive intensity capped a complete performance     Patrick was the real deal this week, using his big, physical presence to control the game. He finished with 17 points but was relentless and difficult to guard inside, consistently bullying his way to the basket and scoring with ease. On the defensive end he owned the paint, taking away interior looks and forcing opponents to settle for contested shots from the perimeter     Barnett showed why he's one of the most dangerous three point shooters around, making Doherty pay for giving him space. He finished with 18 points, knocking down five threes while consistently getting to his spots. His all around toughness and consistent effort made him a force on both ends of the floor     Cowans finished with 13 points for West, but his defensive impact stood out even more. He applied relentless pressure with a tough press that forced multiple turnovers, turning defense into offense. On the other end he attacked the lane aggressively, creating scoring opportunities for himself and teammates. His combination of defensive intensity and smart offensive play made him a key factor in West's win     Brooks may not have come away with the win, but he showed he's a serious threat as a freshman. He finished with 33 points, displaying excellent handles and the ability to get to the lane with ease. A lethal three point shooter and natural scorer, he did it all with impressive efficiency, proving he can carry an offense and make an immediate impact at the varsity level     Eugene was a standout find for Lincoln, serving as a strong complementary second scorer. He attacked the lane aggressively, finishing with finesse on crafty drives, and showcased his scoring touch in key moments. On defense, he brought intensity and awareness with ball hawking defense that created turnovers and disrupted the opponent's rhythm
