isn’t next up; he’s the now. Constantly focused on the task at hand, Brooks has accumulated just under 470 points so far this season, with no signs of slowing down whatsoever. The 5’11 Lincoln Lancers guard creates space for himself across all three levels, all while annihilating defenses with 40+ point performances. Not only has his scoring lit up the box score, but Brooks’ defense is other-worldly, coming up with nearly 7 SPG. This kind of all-around firepower is rare to see, so be sure to check out Brooks’ remaining contests during his first season.

Brooks put together a jaw dropping January, showcasing a level of scoring and two way impact that set him apart from nearly everyone on the floor. Averaging an incredible 40 points over six games, he was a constant problem for defenses, pouring in a high of 48 and adding three more 40 point outings while never being held out of double figures. What elevated this stretch even further was his dominance on defense, averaging six steals per game and routinely turning stops into instant offense. Lincoln went 4–2 during the span, and Brooks’ ability to take over games, create for others and control the tempo made him the clear engine of the team and one of the most dangerous players in the state

Brooks showcased advanced three-level scoring ability throughout the summer, establishing himself as the premier offensive player in the class. He creates efficiently off the dribble, shoots confidently from range, and reads help defense well. His combination of pace and balance always make him a unique offensive scorer and a legitimate go-to option. Brooks will be expected to provide consistent production on a loaded Chaparral roster this season, and I am excited to see how he steps up to the challenge. In our debut, he comes out as the top player in 2029.

Brooks hasn’t played a minute of varsity yet due to him being a 2029, but he looked like one of the most polished guards in the 16U division. His handle is elite, and he constantly made defenders dance in iso situations. He’s shifty, shoots it well from deep, and controls tempo like a player much older. This was our first look at him, and it won’t be the last. His four-year journey is going to be fun to track as I think he plays his freshman year.
