Ashland is a very talented group that is full of really good guards but Lynch has made himself a good role in his first season with the Tomcats. Primarily operating as a shooter right now, River is shooting an impressive 46% from three so far. Fellow freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2869959' first='Alijah' last='Owens'] is elite at getting paint touches and getting downhill and Lynch looks like he's going to make a tremendous duo for Ashland for the next 4 seasons.

Murray is quietly putting together a really strong season, so far. Sitting at 9-2 and coming off a win over Mayfield, the Tigers have been getting quality minutes out of Cunningham. Primarily a slasher, Kenyon continues to get more and more time as the season rolls along. Long term, he could be one of the best 2029s in the first region.

Frankfort is maybe the youngest team in the KHSAA but they are very talented. [player_tooltip player_id='2921335' first='Rajon' last='Floyd'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2890961' first='Cam' last='Crocker'] were more known players heading into the season but Toma Washington is starting to make a name in his own right. While he has struggled to make a ton of shots from range this year, "Jelly" is excelling at getting downhill and attacking the paint. As he gets stronger and finishes through contact more, Washington will only get more dangerous.

Adair County is Senior led but the future is bright with Jennings serving as a potentially really good piece, long term. He's been easing into his role for the Indians after missing nearly an entire year but Truk has legitimate size and needs to continue improving his movement and athleticism. Playing Jennings at the 5 spot allows [player_tooltip player_id='1702596' first='Landon' last='Blakey'] to slide over to the 4 and makes the Adair lineup huge. He's got potential to really present a problem for 5th region foes down the stretch this season.
