We are near the halfway point of the season as most teams have played 10+ games by now and we're less than 2 months from district tournaments and the march towards Rupp Arena. Our rankings are being updated once again and next up is the Junior class. Here's a look at some of the biggest stock risers in the latest edition of 2027 class rankings.

At schools like Trinity, players often have to wait their turn before they get a chance to see the court. That's the case with Davis. After waiting and developing over the last 2 years, Cunningham is making the most of his opportunity with the Rocks this season. Davis is a role player for Trinity has has shown the potential to be a really good player in the long term. He moved up from 163rd to 71st after a good start to the season.

Sticking with Trinity's Junior class, [player_tooltip player_id='2387898' first='Reese' last=''] is a shooting specialist who left a strong impression with his performance in the Mr. Basketball Classic win over Henry Clay early this month. Sandifer is almost exclusively a three point shooter and has shot 26 threes to only two two pointers. To become a more impactful player, he'll need to do more than just launch from range. He moved up 30 spots from 120th to 90th this time around.

Caleb moves up from 132nd to 92nd in this update and is a really solid prospect who could play at the small college level. He shows a high IQ and can score or create looks for teammates. A capable defender, Creech can play solid defense on and off the ball. He's not going to blow you away with his athleticism but Caleb is not un-athletic either.

A standout at a couple of camps I attended this summer, Marsh is having a fine start to his Junior season. He's moving from 151st overall to 100th and could continue trending up if he can improve his three point shooting over the course of this season. What impressed me the most about Ben when I saw him earlier this month was how hard he played. He has a great motor and was consistently attacking the rim over the course of the game.

McDowell caught the eye of our Mike Roth when LaRue County played in the King of the Bluegrass before Christmas. Braylin has made the most of more opportunities presented by the Hawks losing multiple players to transfer this summer. With an expanded role, McDowell's numbers have gone up and so has his ranking. Braylin moves up from 234 to 102 overall.
