Flyin’ To The Hoop – Ramsey’s Monday Standouts

It was a great opportunity to see some high-level national prospects, a couple of great teams from Ohio, and La Lumiere for a second straight day. The highly ranked Class of 2027 guard led La Lumiere with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists on Monday in a tough 74-69 loss to Utah Prep. The 5'10" senior guard added 5 rebounds and 3 assists as well in an excellent overall game. Diane is a true 7-footer with so much strength. However, he still moves pretty well for his size and can completely dominate the paint on both ends of the floor. The talented guard was 3-6 from deep and led the way with 16 points in a 78-58 loss. He is incredibly physical, an excellent multi-positional defender, and then turned on the scoring when Utah Prep needed it most. It didn't take long on Monday to see why he is so highly regarded. Manhertz, a smooth, left-handed shooter poured in eight three-point shots in the game and led all scorers with 30 points. The 6'5" wing finished with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. However, this Dayton signee was the most impressive prospect on the floor for the vast majority of the game. The 6'4" guard shoots so well off of the dribble, gets great elevation on his jump shot, and is always under control. Weis did a little bit of everything on the offensive end on Monday knocking down a couple of pick-and-pop three-point shots, finished a couple of strong post moves, and attacked the rim off of the bounce. Whitty, a West Virginia signee, scored 17 points and dished out 10 assists to finish with a double-double.
