On Monday we updated the 2027 rankings and expanded the list to 300 prospects! Who are the best wings in the class? These are the premier at the position in Illinois!

[player_tooltip player_id='2125674' first='Quinton' last='Kitt'] (East Peoria)

Kitt is an Illinois commit that brings great versatility as a two way wing. When surrounded by other high level talent he is an elite connective piece as a passer, rebounder, defender, and scores when opportunities present themselves. For his high school team he is a dominant scorer that can get to the rack, post up, and knock in jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2839878' first='Mason' last='Martin'] (Neuqua Valley)

Martin is the other Illinois commitment in the 2027 class. One of the truly elite shot makers in the state regardless of class. Good size, moves tremendously well without the ball, and has a super quick release. Deep range and consistent mechanics. Flashed development in his all-around game as a junior including improved athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125659' first='Kristopher' last='Mporokoso'] (Waubonsie Valley)

Big lefty wing that loves to bomb it in from deep with a ton of arc on his shot. More than just a shooter he has really improved his all-around skill set including handles to the rim and scoring through contact. Has some playmaking feel as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125642' first='Jarrel' last='Brown'] (Normal Community)

Long and rangy small forward is a plus spot up shooter from three. Like how he can pour them in off the catch while also being a plus athlete and has the potential to be a very good defender at the next level. Best basketball is ahead of him!

[player_tooltip player_id='2455373' first='Oturo' last='Redento'] (Glenbard North)

Redento made a jump into the top 10 after a strong start to his junior campaign. He is one of our favorite prospects to watch in this class because he can stuff the stat sheet and impact on both ends. High level defender that can guard multiple positions while making game changing plays. Offensively he is a smooth ball handler, slasher, spot up shooter, and connective passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2458187' first='J'dyn' last='Lloyd'] (Belleville West)

Lloyd is one of the top players in the metro east. The junior wing has a strong frame with legit three level scoring ability. Uses his strength to score through contact and can pull up with his jumper from two and three. Solid rebounder and defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2540188' first='Ryan' last='Howard'] (Alton)

Long and lanky shooting guard who can really knock down spot up shots from distance. One of the better pure catch and shoot guys in the class. He has a quick and consistent release making them at a high clip. Good athlete that can also defend both backcourt positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125660' first='Lamari' last='Carpenter'] (Glenbard North)

Carpenter is a two guard that can also play some on the ball when needed. Good ball handler with the ability to create his own shot off the bounce whether it is with the jumper or drives. Can go get you a bucket when needed. Improved passer as well over the last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323622' first='Damari' last='Stephens'] (Kenwood)

Stephens is like a running back at small forward. He has a thick frame and a physical slashing style where he pounds the defense with his relentlessness attacking the paint drawing fouls and scoring in the lane. Adequate shooter and has flashed as a passer. Plus wing rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125619' first='Dshaun' last='Bolden'] (Oswego East)

Bolden is a big and athletic wing who has emerged as a D1 talent over the last year. Explosive downhill slasher with burst on his first step. Capable spot up shooter off the catch. Rebounds well for a wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532349' first='Owen' last='Kirby'] (Normal U-High)

Kirby is a high level shooter with plus positional size. That is what will carry his value at the next level. Been the go to option for Normal U-High the last two seasons.
