[player_tooltip player_id='1764298' first='Jhett' last='Wells'] is the epitome of a guy who has worked for his spot. He had a stellar junior season where he turned heads with his play. But this season, he has taken it to a new level. Wells is a Top-5 scorer in the state at 26.4 points a game, and what's impressive is WHO he's doing this against. He has 51 points in a high scoring game against Lutheran, 44 points in a close with against state champions, Kent Denver, and is coming off of two straight 30+ point games. He's put up double figures in each game while being the focal point of the offense, and he plays the right way. It's not just an offensive onslaught for him, though. He's also averaging 7 boards, 3.4 assists, and 3.6 steals a game as well. He's balanced and doing everything that his team needs from him for his team to win. We saw him have a stellar summer and Fall, and he's carried that momentum into the season. He steps into the Top 15 as a riser.

Brody has been one of the top scorers in the entire class for the last few seasons, and this year he's even upped that. He's averaging 24.7 points a game as a 3-level scorer. He seeks out mismatches, he is an excellent iso scorer, and also when the double comes, he makes them pay with making the right play as well. He's an above-average rebounder (8.2 rpg) who grabs the board and goes, he attacks the paint, often getting fouled or finished over smaller defenders, and is a two-way standout as well. We just saw him have his best game of the year, and it's against state champs, Simple, where he finished with 35 points and 8 rebounds, to go along with it. He makes a leap in the rankings with his play and remains a small school standout who deserves recognition. Big year for him.

Cherokee Trail is on a mission this season to do something special, and they are one of the more entertaining teams in the state. They're talented, they have depth, and they play for one another. Their top scorer on the season has been a bit of a surprise. Jensen has made a leap and proved that hard work pays off. He's putting up 14.5 points a game, is a three-level scorer, and has showcased consistency offensively. He gets out in transition, runs the offense, and is also a prospect who works well off the ball. He's a selfless leader who brings energy each game and takes what the defense gives him. He's been a force on the boards, is a high-IQ decision-maker, and is a two-way standout who gives Cherokee Trail culture. He made a big leap in the rankings and is in the Top-50.

Lyrik has been a prospect that we said we would follow as he had himself a stellar summer. He jumped on the radars then and has not looked back since, and we expected a solid senior season, and he's been beyond that. For starters, he made 1st Team All-State for football and stepped back on the hardwood and has been dominant. He's putting up a team-high 22.9 points a game with some insane stat lines and has been the reason for a few wins. He's also the same force on the boards that we saw over the summer as well. He's averaging 7.6 rebounds, dishing out 3.8 assists, and it at 4 steals a game as well. He plays with effort the entire time, and his hard work has him as one of the top risers in the class. Huge leap for him.

Luke has been a prospect who we've been high on for quite some time, but he makes an even bigger leap with how he's been able to lead his team this season. Silver Creek sits at 9-2 on the season, and a big reason for that is their senior do-it-all combo guard. He's up to 23.1 points on the season and has been a go-to guy that the teams feel comfortable with the ball in his hands. He lights it up from deep, shooting over 40% on high volume, he finishes well inside with his longer frame, and gets to where he wants on the floor. He's used to seeing different looks that defenses give him and adapts in real time. He's exploded with a 45-point game, has finished in double figures in every game, and has affected the game on both ends of the floor. He's a riser who we will surely see more of as we enjoy this Silver Creek squad.

Lamar has been a steady contributor the last couple of seasons, and his consistency rings out. He's an athletic 6'3 forward who plays above his size, he uses his strength to dominate inside, and he either finishes or heads to the FT line. He's a bruiser that finishes through contact, he has excellent footwork, and gets out in transition and finishes through traffic. He also battles for boards on every possession and keeps plays alive. He's up to 12.8 points and 5.8 rebounds a game and has his team playing some of their best ball of the season as they head into league play. I expect a big finish to the season, but he's a player who makes a significant leap in the rankings.

Largent is sitting on nearly 1500 points in his career, and if he's able to push his 21.6 points a game up just a bit, he could clear the 2,000 mark in his career. He's been a force and has De Beque playing their best ball of the season. He's a stat-stuffing guard who we saw come out and compete at our events this summer, and we know that he belongs. He's a shooter that lights it up from deep at times, he can score with the best of them, and is also at 6.6 rebounds a game. For a prospect who is such a prolific scorer, he's also a stellar passer and unselfish guard as well. He's putting up 6.2 assists a game and leading his team the right way. We're high on Largent and want to see him continue his stellar play.
