ZG Prep Classic: Friday Standouts III

He has terrific length, and at 6'6", plays with great activity on the defensive end of the floor. He's active in passing lanes and on the glass, but really impressed with his ability to guard in space and keep the ball in front of him. He's super slippery in tight spaces, showing the wiggle to evade defenders and a ton of creativity as a paint finisher. When he decides to be aggressive as a scorer, there aren't many guards that can stay in front of him. He looks bigger than he did this summer and shows the ability to play through contact as a driver and to operate as a traffic rebounder on the defensive end of the floor. Offensively, his bread-and-butter continues to be his ability to create space as an off-ball mover and then to be shot ready on the catch. Defensively, he uses his strength to his advantage, bumping opponents off their spots and making it really difficult for them to create easy looks. Offensively, he's a handful to guard when he gets downhill, where his power and athleticism stand out around the rim. He's a highly regard perimeter shooter, but has seemingly taken on more of a creator role this season. He does a great job of playing at different speeds as a driver, keeps his dribble alive when angles are cut off, and shows the ability to both finish or facilitate in the paint.
