Camara, a wing out of Vermont Academy, looks like he’s taken a huge step in his development since heading to the prep ranks. He has terrific length, and at 6’6″, plays with great activity on the defensive end of the floor. He’s active in passing lanes and on the glass, but really impressed with his ability to guard in space and keep the ball in front of him. Offensively, I thought he played with more skill than I’d previously seen, showing some breakdown ability off the bounce and good instincts as a passer off of his drives.

Camara, a wing out of Vermont Academy, jumped 26 spots in this rankings update. A recent transfer into the NEPSAC, he’s a long and lean athlete that can fill a variety of roles for any team. With his length, he has the ability to be a disruptive defender, in the half-court and at the top of the press. He rebounds in traffic and in space, can push the ball as a ball-handler in transition, and uses a quick first step to get by the initial defender. He scores it with length at the rim and has added some creator ability off the bounce with the ball in his hands.

Camara’s combination of size, length and athleticism is at a scholarship level. He’s 6-foot-6 with a massive wingspan, and he jumps out of the gym off of both one and two feet. Because of these physical tools, combined with his timing, he’s able to dominate the boards and provide rim protection against bigger forwards. Offensively, he has some wiggle to his game and can take opposing big men off the dribble quite consistently. Camara needs to improve his shot and get a little more under control on drives to the hoop, but he could certainly be a scholarship guy when the time comes.
