King, a guard out of Vermont Academy in Vermont, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #143. A twitchy mover with the ball in his hands, King proved to be a crafty scorer around the rim in the half-court. He’s a taller guard, at 6’3″, with great length and a quick first step, allowing him to be a quality playmaker out of ball screens. He finishes it around the rim with his lemgth, creativity, and touch, impressing particularly with his floater game. On the other end of the floor, he’s proven to be a solid point of attack defender that can keep the ball out of the paint and create steals with his quickness in passing lanes. He remains undecided on his college destination.

King is a super under-the-radar prospect who has had a solid season for a very high level Vermont Academy team so far this year. The 6-foot-3 guard doesn’t have much of a weakness offensively and can score from all three levels while playing with or without the ball. He’s playing at a super high level at VA, and his reps there will certainly help him be an impactful college player from day one. I would be surprised if there aren’t a good number of D3 schools on King already, because his combination of size and skill is difficult to find at the guard position at the D3 level.
