Camara, out of Vermont Academy in Vermont, checks in at #12 among the combo guards and #80 overall. Camara has adjusted seemlessly to the prep ranks and is clearly one of the early season’s top stock risers. The 6’1″ guard has the ability to run an offense as a primary decision-maker, but can also slide off the ball and go for 20+ points on any given night. On that end of the floor, his quick first step and toughness as a driver stand out. Defensively, he harrasses opposing ball-handlers and creates steals and deflections at a high rate.

Camara comes from Malden Catholic as a big time MIAA star, but he looks to have fit into the highest level of the NEPSAC pretty seamlessly. The 6-foot-1 combo-guard spent a lot of time with the ball in his hands against New Hampton and was able to showcase his incredible quickness and full-court speed. He made multiple nice moves to the rim and had a bunch of crafty finishes at the hoop. Defensively, he was extremely active in the passing lanes and gave opposing guards problems all day. Camara is only going to get more comfortable playing at this level, and he should probably be looked at by scholarship programs as a result.

He did a great job of making an impact on both ends of the floor. His quickness allows him to get by defenders with ease. Camara frequently touches the paint. He has good basketball instincts and finds others for scoring opportunities often. He was able to turn defense to offense. He finished with 14 points in a win over Massanutten. Camara is a prospect who i think needs to be on low major big boards for the class of 2027.

Camara is super intriguing long-term because of his length, athleticism and skillset. He’s definitely skinny, but the 6-foot-1 guard can do everything offensively and has some wiggle to his handle that really excites. He can get into the lane and finish amongst the threes, but he can also stop short for pull up jumpers and three balls. I also really liked Camara’s pace in the pick and roll; he understands how to get the defense on his back, and he makes good decisions for himself and his teammates once he does so. I could see him continuing to grow and think that if he blooms late, he could be a scholarship prospect.
