Williams, a senior guard out of Milton Academy in Massachusetts, has continued to establish himself as one of the top offensive players in the region with the ball in his hands. Milton is currently 3rd in Class A with an 8-2 record in league games and has relied heavily on their talented lead guard for production on both ends of the floor. Williams might have the quickest first step off the bounce in all of Class A, showing an elite ability to get into the paint, where he’s able to score at the rim or set up his big men for easy baskets. He flies up the floor in transition and puts pressure on a defense off the bounce for all 32 minutes. Defensively, he has to be among the leaders in steals, showing the ability to keep opposing ball-handlers in front of him and away from their scoring spots. Williams remains uncommitted at this point in time.

Williams has been great all year, but he has really turned it on as of late. His superpower has always been his ability to get downhill and put pressure on the defense with a head of steam, specifically in transition situations. But his shooting, especially from deep, has really improved as the season has gone on. As defenses have started to give him a step, he has been able to consistently make them pay by knocking down threes both off the dribble and off the catch. For a guard of his size, the shooting stroke could be the difference between a D3 and D2 opportunity, so perhaps some scholarship schools will take notice of his improved shot and take a harder look at his this spring.

Williams is probably the best player in this group of teams. The 6-foot-2 guard has incredible speed and quickness and is a total blur in transition with the ball in his hands. He can shoot it from the outside, he can finish athletically at the rim with both hands, and he operates with great control and decisiveness in the paint. Williams is perpetually under-recruited and might end up at the highest level of D3 ball, but he probably has what it takes to play scholarship ball. He could go for 30 on any given night but will always play the right way. Total stud.

Williams was pretty easily Milton’s best player last night against Phillips Exeter. The 6-foot-2 guard excels in transition by getting out on the break and making great decisions for himself or his teammates once he touches the paint. He’s a super unselfish kick ahead passer but also does an excellent job finishing with contact and at full speed. Defensively, he guards for the entire game and slides his feet very well. He’s a higher level kid D3 player or perhaps a scholarship guy at the D2 level.

Williams, a guard out of Milton Academy, stood out with his burst off the bounce and finishing ability around the rim. He’s super slippery in tight spaces, showing the wiggle to evade defenders and a ton of creativity as a paint finisher. When he decides to be aggressive as a scorer, there aren’t many guards that can stay in front of him. Defensively, he does a really good job of staying in front of the ball at the point of attack and is elite in his ability to quick turn defense into offensive opportunities in transition.

Williams was playing at his home gym, and you could tell. He shot it better than I’ve typically seen, which bodes very well for his ability to put tons of points on the board this year for Milton Academy. The 6-foot-2 guard is an incredible athlete and has a lightning quick first step, which allows him to puncture the paint at will. Once he’s there, he elevates quite well for finishes but also makes really smart spray outs to shooters. The highest D3’s in the country, as well as some scholarship schools, should be reaching out to Williams.

Williams had a really strong spring and summer with Team New England Basketball Club, proving to be one of the region’s better combo guards. The Milton Academy prospect is one of the faster end to end guards around and uses his speed to his advantage when breaking down defenders. With his quick first step and length, he’s able to get to the rim often, where he’s proven to be a crafty and capable paint scorer. He makes good decisions out of ball screens, has the ability to score out of isolations in the mid-range, and has developed into a reliable three point shooter. On top of all that, he’s a talented point of attack defender capable of locking down opposing scorers.

Williams was one of the more impressive combo guards I saw at Babson last weekend. The 6-foot-2 athlete gets to the lane at will with his quickness and explosive burst, and he has an active off-hand to throw off defenders as he gets there. He also has all the finishes and mid range shots in his bag, which is quite necessary for a scorer his size. Defensively, Williams does an excellent job in the passing lanes and scores lots of his points on fast break layups as a result. He’s a total ballhawk. He’ll be Milton Academy’s leading scorer this season if I had to guess, and he should be looking at some scholarship offers.

Williams added a nice spark with his play. He is a quick twitch guard who does excels making plays for himself and others. He scored the basketball in a multitude of ways. He was a threat to knock down shots off the ball. Williams has a knack for making plays. Defenses struggled to keep him out of the lane. He is vastly under recruited and is a coaches dream.

Williams, a dynamic combo guard out of Milton Academy, checked into this update at #54. A high academic guard, he’s one of the better perimeter isolation scorers in this class. There’s some serious wiggle off the bounce, a quick first step when attacking the rim, and good use of his length as a scorer in the paint. He makes contested jumpers in the mid-range and can get hot in a hurry from behind the arc. Defensively, he uses his length to his advantage and has quick hands that lead to deflections and steals.
