1. West Allis Central -- Outside of another Woodland team -- Wisconsin Lutheran of the Woodland West -- there likely isn't a more talented team in the state than West Allis Central. Coach Dave Mlachnik's group is deep, big, experienced, athletic and skilled, traits that figure to lead to a huge season for the Bulldogs. Iowa State recruit [player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'] (6-5, 23.7 ppg, 8.8 rpg) leads a list of five returning regulars from a 21-6 unit. Gray, a tireless worker and strong defender, again will work alongside gifted teammates [player_tooltip player_id='2411140' first='Kevin' last='Pittman'] (6-11, 11.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='2194435' first='Max' last='Jones'] (6-4, 14.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='2141478' first='Isaiah' last='Fox'] (6-0, 11.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and Caiden Alland-Davis (6-3, 7.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg). Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1561870' first='Kayden' last='Travis'] (5-8, 5.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg) was the sixth man for West Allis Central a year ago and also returns.

2. Greenfield -- Greenfield won 23 of 27 outings last winter, but the Hustlin' Hawks did lose four starters from that squad. Still, coach Ryan DePouw's program remains on solid footing with senior [player_tooltip player_id='2733016' first='Azon' last='Juarez-Quinn'] (6-6, 14 ppg, 4 rpg) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2426416' first='Lucas' last='O'Brien'] (6-2, 5 ppg, 3.2 rpg) headlining the list of returning players. Juarez-Quinn is a potential all-league performer who could average a double/double as a senior while O'Brien is one of the more improved players in the league. Also back are seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3020185' first='Patrick' last='Morgese'] (5-11, 2 ppg) and Nate Teicher (5-11, 2 ppg) along with juniors [player_tooltip player_id='3020182' first='Trey' last='Burt'] (6-3, 2 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2413796' first='Ethan' last='Gonzales'] (6-1).

3. Brown Deer -- Definitely a team to watch this winter, Brown Deer is experienced, quick, skilled and anxious to get more wins after finishing 9-16 last season. First-year coach Darryl Longley has two of the better players in the Woodland East in senior sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='2391076' first='Codie' last='Jones'] (6-3, 23.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg) and senior playmaker [player_tooltip player_id='1753977' first='Jayden' last='Ragland'] (5-11, 18.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg). Also back for the Falcons are seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2637286' first='Jordan' last='Reed'] (6-2, 7.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='3019216' first='Mike' last='Essoka'] (5-11, 7.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2821803' first='Jaiden' last='Reed'] (6-4, 5.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg). Depth is a bit of a concern although sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='3019217' first='Josh' last='Reed'] (6-3, 1.6 ppg, 1.5 rpg), Nasson Triggs (5-10, 1.4 ppg) could make some big contributions.

4. Whitnall -- The stellar backcourt duo of Myles Herro (6-2, 21.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg) and Jack Lutz (6-0,m21. ppg, 3;7 rpg) graduated last spring, leaving Whitnall with some major holes in its lineup. Despite those significant losses, coach Andrew Wojcik does have two key players back in senior [player_tooltip player_id='2510585' first='Cooper' last='Markee'] (6-6, 11.4 ppg, 4.1 rpg) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2400311' first='Max' last='Michalak'] (6-4, 5.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg). Both were regulars on a 17-10 squad. Another key returning player, senior [player_tooltip player_id='1561921' first='Tyler' last='Michalak'] (5-10, 6.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg), also will play a huge role for Whitnall.

5. Milwaukee Lutheran -- Coach Marcus Jackson's program is loaded with stellar guard play. If the Red Knights can get enough production from their frontline, they could move up a notch or two in the Woodland East standings. Coming off a 14-12 season, Milwaukee Lutheran has senior [player_tooltip player_id='2360929' first='Xavier' last='Allen'] (5-11, 19.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2140931' first='James' last='Ferguson'] (6-1, 5.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg) returning to handle the backcourt duties. Allen is an all-league caliber performer while Ferguson improved his game by leaps and bounds over the summer. Also back for Milwaukee Lutheran are seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2392077' first='Danzel' last='O'Neill'] (5-10, 4.9 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2426757' first='Jasen' last='Brown'] (6-2, 6.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg), junior [player_tooltip player_id='2391528' first='Mykal' last='Woods'] (6-4, 3.2 ppg, 2.2 rpg) and sophomore Jadari Elam (6-5, 3.0 rpg).

6.Shorewood -- Like Milwaukee Lutheran, Shorewood boasts plenty of talent and experience in its backcourt as enior [player_tooltip player_id='1561931' first='Jake' last='Sherman'] (6-0, 14.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2194439' first='McKhale' last='Wesley'] (6-3, 15.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg) return for coach Chris Robinson. Also like Milwaukee Lutheran, the Greyhounds of Shorewood are a little light on frontline experience. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='3022198' first='Miles' last='Busby'] (6-4, 3.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg) figures to get plenty of time along the baseline while senior [player_tooltip player_id='2430375' first='Julian' last='Reuter'] (6-0, 9.2 ppg) can play on the perimeter and a bit int he paint as well.

7. South Milwaukee -- Former Marinette coach Matt Joost takes over the coaching chores at South Milwaukee with the difficult task of needing to replace three starters and two double-figure scorers from a 6-19 team. The lone holdover regulars for the Rockets are senior [player_tooltip player_id='3022242' first='Ivan' last='Cotto'] (5-10, 3.5 ppg) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2423640' first='Jasiah' last='Jones'] (6-1, 3.7 ppg). Cotto and Jones can provide some leadership for Joost's first team at South Milwaukee, while seniors Alban Blla (6-2, 3.1 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id='2381813' first='Immanuel' last='Roche'] (6-2, 2.2 ppg) and Connor Trinwith (5-9, 1.1 ppg) along with junior Bryce Plennes (6-0, 1.8 ppg) look to take on bigger roles.

8. Cudahy -- The rebuilding program at Cudahy continues as coach DJ Miller starts his second season hoping the Packers can become more competitive after finishing 1-24 last season. Cudahy opened the 2025-26 campaign with a win so it has matched last year's win total. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2712157' first='Anthony' last='Brooks'] (5-10, 18.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg), JJ Brooks (5-10, 3 ppg, 3 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019600' first='Dante' last='Knapp'] (6-0, 5 ppg, 2 rpg) along with junior [player_tooltip player_id='3019599' first='Cipriano' last='Sanapaw'] (6-3, 7.6 ppg, 5 rpg) form a strong nucleus for Cudahy.

Top Returning Scorers

[player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'] (West Allis Central) 23.6 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2391076' first='Codie' last='Jones'] (Brown Deer) 23.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2360929' first='Xavier' last='Allen'] (Milwaukee Lutheran) 19.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2712157' first='Anthony' last='Brooks'] (Cudahy) 18.6 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='1753977' first='Jayden' last='Ragland'] (Brown Deer) 18.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2194439' first='McKhale' last='Wesley'] (Shorewood) 15.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='1561931' first='Jake' last='Sherman'] (Shorewood) 14.9 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2194435' first='Max' last='Jones'] (West Allis Central) 14.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2733016' first='Azon' last='Juarez-Quinn'] (Greenfield) 14.0 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2411140' first='Kevin' last='Pittman'] (West Allis Central) 11.9 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2141478' first='Isaiah' last='Fox'] (West Allis Central) 11.7 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2510585' first='Cooper' last='Markee'] (Whitnall) 11.4 ppg

Projected All-Conference Teams
First Team
[player_tooltip player_id='2391076' first='Codie' last='Jones'], 6-3, Sr., Brown Deer
[player_tooltip player_id='2733016' first='Azon' last='Juarez-Quinn'], 6-6, Sr., Greenfield
[player_tooltip player_id='2360929' first='Xavier' last='Allen'], 5-11, Sr., Milwaukee Lutheran
[player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'], 6-5, Sr., West Allis Central
[player_tooltip player_id='2194435' first='Max' last='Jones'], 6-0, Jr., West Allis Central

Second Team
[player_tooltip player_id='1753977' first='Jayden' last='Ragland'], 5-11, Sr., Brown Deer
[player_tooltip player_id='2426416' first='Lucas' last='O'Brien'], 6-2, Jr., Greenfield
[player_tooltip player_id='2411140' first='Kevin' last='Pittman'], 6-11, Sr., West Allis Central
[player_tooltip player_id='2194435' first='Max' last='Jones'], 6-4, Jr., West Allis Central
[player_tooltip player_id='2510585' first='Cooper' last='Markee'], 6-6, Sr., Whitnall

The Big Five

Best Shooter: [player_tooltip player_id='2391076' first='Codie' last='Jones'], Brown Deer
Best Defender: [player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'], West Allis Central
Best Rebounder: [player_tooltip player_id='2411140' first='Kevin' last='Pittman'], West Allis Central
Best Collegiate Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'], West Allis Central
Most Improved: [player_tooltip player_id='2140931' first='James' last='Ferguson'], Milwaukee Lutheran
